I typically prefer to write a more involved review, if only for my own personal enjoyment...knowing I plan to write a detailed review, will often times aid me in paying greater attention to the cigar/smoke.

In this particular case, I apologize, but I am not able to provide a detailed review. However, I was quite impressed with this cigar, that I just had to share.

I decided to spend a couple of hours working out of the office and thus made my way to the B&M. I knew I'd be going after the San Cristobal (Robusto) today. I have one in the humi, but it yet to be sparked, and I felt this would make for the perfect smoke today--I was right.

I typically enjoy a cigar with a fair amount of spice and flavor; the SC had both! The spice died off a bit as the smoke burned on, which revealed a more noticeable woody taste. This was evident from start to finish. I'd not say this was a highly complex cigar in terms of taste, but definitely constant and enjoyable. The draw was a little on the tight side for me, but not a problem, and the burn was a bit uneven. Again, not a problem though. This was a bit of a strong cigar...but not over the top in any way.

For the price ($9.50), I'd not make this an everyday cigar for me, but definitely one to enjoy from time to time. If you get an opportunity to try a SC, take it...who knows you might enjoy it and be glad you did. Thanks for reading.

Great review :tu

Tried one a couple of weeks ago. A very impressive cigar, but strangely enough I couldn't seem to get into it. I like Ashton cigars, cigars by Pepin, and Nicaraguan cigars. Somehow the combination of all three doesn't do it for me. Perhaps I should revisit it in a while.

Thanks for the review. The San Cristobal line is one I've come to enjoy as well. I have not yet refined my pallette to the point where I can discern specific flavors like wood, etc, but I have found I enjoy a spicy stick. I'm also at the point where I can pick up similarities across cigar lines, and the San Cristobal -- at least to me -- is distinctively Pepin. Guys who like the DPG Blue and 601 Series (partcularly the Green label) are likely to enjoy the San Cristobal.

Keep those reviews coimng, Ryan!

Interesting, I've tried a DPG Blue and 601 Black (enjoyed them both very much), and have a 601 Green resting in the humi...I'll have to move it to the top of the pecking order now based on your thoughts here...thanks.

Thanks for the Review
I picked up a box of these a couple of months ago. I am very happy with them. The San Cristobal is a straight forward smoke that is very smooth.
So If one is coming from smoking complex smokes and then trys one of these it can seem a bit uneventful.

After my 3rd one I have really come to enjoy this line.:2
