First Trip to Casa Fuente

I wanted to tell you guys I did get to go to Casa Fuente in sunny Las Vegas over this past weekend. I thought the selection of Opus and other fine cigars such as Ashton was incredible. The prices weren't bad for Vegas, considering that it's very hard for me to even find, much less be able to hand-select some good Opus's.

I met with Andrew (Scottish Smoker) around 8 p.m. after we both made good on saying we would call one another. I think it's awesome that a brother would go out of his way to meet a total stranger, and we enjoyed some good conversation about life, work, cigars, and more cigars. I have to admit I was a little out of it, and I'm sure Andrew could tell that my eyes were about to roll back in my head as I sipped my mojito and enjoyed the house special -- Casa Fuente! I loved the cigar, but it's strength nearly kicked my ass after spending all day drinking beers and floating around the lazy river at the MGM! I wanted to buy a coffin, but couldn't pull the trigger at $75 per. I did get some nice toro sizes, an Ashton ESG, and 3 CF's - one for there, one to save and one for my dad, which I'll deliver this weekend.

While in Vegas, I hit the MGM Davidoff shop twice. Although pricey, the selection was great, and the quality of their humidor -- amazing! Never have I enjoyed a Robusto so much. I took a late-night trip into the shop and selected the Millenium. It was my first one, and I couldn't believe the quality of the Davidoff product. I popped in and bought another one to bring home. I already smoked it:hn.

The bar I sat at was very accomodating to the cigar, and they gave me free fat tires while I chimped away at video poker for a couple hours. All in all, it was a great trip. I can post a couple pics later when I get home from work if you would like.

Yeah, I wish I had them on my work computer. I've just been a little out of it since I got home, but I'll post them tonight. I know it doesn't make for much of a thread without them.

Pics please! But anyways, that sounds like an awesome trip to go into some of those humidors. I think my jaw would be stuck in the same place for a while.

Both those places are just awesome! I was there a couple of weeks ago and only had a couple of hours of free time....but I made it to the Casa & Davidoff. Took a Casa home with me and smoked my first Short Story while sipping on a cool one. It was 106 when I was there.

I was there just a few weeks ago! You had the bucket of beer floating with you in the lazy river didn't you?! I know I did. I wish I could have meet up with another gorilla out there, sadly the schedual didn't permit, but it sounds like you had a great time and made life long memories!

Ohhhhhh, you know it brother! The trick is to thumb-hole the beer as you go through the fountains! I can't think of too many better things I could be doing.

Okay, I know these are a little late, but I looked through the pictures and decided there were at least a few to enjoy. If nothing else you can appreciate the pics of the talented staff at Casa Fuente.

This Ashton tower was incredible. I was drooling so bad in there, I was almost too shell-shocked to snap any pics. I should've gotten right up in those boxes of xx and forbidden!!!

One thing I really regret is not having my camera on me either time I was in Davidoff at the hotel. That selection was picture-worthy as well.

Seriously though, walking into Casa Fuente for this Pepin Ho was weird. I felt like I was in some evil house of worship where the convertin' is easy, but the allurements were dangerous and insane!!!

Okay, so these next ones are the Ashton's, with some brother drooling all over it, the house smoke gettin' love, and the two beautiful babies that had the wonderful idea of dragging my sorry ass to vegas! I've been smiling ever since.

Great pics, that waitress was smokin hot, that chick in the middle is hot as well. Nice trip, no doubt. :tu

Great pics and it sounds like you had a blast... but what happens in Vegas.....:tu

I've been once and want to go back. Me and my BIL went in with shorts and ball caps and the girl that took us in the humidor acted like we were going to steal something. The wives were waiting so we only stayed about 15 minutes. Next time, we'll plan better (a couple of hours).

Rethna is my favorite Casa girl, she has been there for 3 years and her first night was my first trip to Casa. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

Looks like you had a great time. That waitress was hot!...I mean those cigars were nice. :r Thanks for sharing.

I always make it point to visit Casa Fuente when I go to Vegas (once every other year), but you must try their Mojitos. The Mojitos are worth trip alone, they are addicting. Any one else every try one there, it is their signature cocktail…..
