What is your opinion on this cigar after having one. I have not but I have thought since the beginning that it was just a new Gimmick to sell cigars. (Created by a sales rep.....)
Although I don't think these cigars are revolutionary, I also don't think it's very cool for anyone to dog someone in the business who offers up something different. (regardless of how the new product may have been marketed)
What I find to be absolutely hilarious is it being a gimmick to sell cigars (thought up by a sales rep) worked like a charm. The fact that you and 500 other people made a thread like this proves that.
I'm not sure if you know anything about marketing but it's very difficult to sell something nobody knows about unless you get people to know about it. Sometimes that requires making bold statements and standing by them :tu
So Your saying that ........ All of the Research and Experimentation to find the SWEET SPOT......Was just for ........PROFIT!!!! OMG!!!:hn

All I'm saying is, you have to smoke one to truly judge one. You can't assume that because the marketing seems bogus, that the cigar is.
The guy who started this thread is a perfect example as to why Nub cigars are selling :r People haven't even smoked them yet their carrying on about them in numerous threads across many different cigar forums.
As far as sweet spot "theory" I don't think this was as much theory as it was action. According to what I've read and heard from others, is that they really only use the interior 3-4 inches of the filler and binder. If Sam thinks that's the reason the middle of a cigar is usually where it gets best, he's allowed to think that.
Doesn't mean I think that tho Also doesn't mean I should scoff at his idea and decide to berate his product constantly as nothing but a stupid marketing gimmick. I think more of the hostility towards this product has to do with previous encounters with Sam. I guess he got himself a bad rap his first time here.
Dustin, you should sell those names to Sam. "Hey guys, anyone down for a box split of Nubberoonis?"
