I bought a tin of these a few months back, and frankly hated them. So I started passing them out, but since I don't know 9 people I hate enough to give these, I was stuck with about 3. So they sat in the humi 6 months or so.
Last night, for kicks, I decided to smoke one, and was very surprised. The profile was pretty one-dimensional, but it was now a dimension I actually liked. The ammonia taste was still there a little, but there was also a taste of strong coffee, almost a black coffee, maybe slightly burnt. A real full, tobacco taste. The ash even held together well, and I got a razor-sharp burn.
Overall, it was a stick I would smoke again, if I had only 20min, I could get them at a decent price, and had 6+ months to age them. I still like the Exquisitos more for a quick winter smoke, which MTW are good out of the box, but I think i'm gonna try both with equal age at 6, 9 and 12 months dates.
