Fuente (Hemmingway) Short Story review

ok, short review on the fuente short story... reviewed with a bottle of Tanner's Jack Ale.

obviously a smaller, figurado smoke but still took 40-55 minutes (just guessing, obviously). Screwed up lighting, causing an uneven burn that I had to correct, but that was due to lighting with a lighter and not cedar, which someone reccomended.

Nice draw, and a pretty straightforward somke. Caught a hint of cayenne pepper at first, but it was fairly quick to wither away leaving a mix of slight earthiness, cedar and leather. Nice smoke with nice aroma - ash held on pretty well. Good enough to draw to the nub.

Cost was $6/stick

Overall, very consistent, carefree smoke. Will definitely buy more.

I'm glad you liked it. I haven't had the short story, but I've had a couple of the signature. It was a little mild (okay, a lot mild) for me. I may just not have the palette to appreciate it yet.

Thanks for the quick review.

Nice review -
One of the Fuente's I haven't tried and keep saying I need to when I visit a B&M but go with something else I have never tried - really need to enjoy one of these.

Forgot to add- this was the natural wrapper. My B&M does not have the maduro, but I will be looking for one of those to sample as I am out and about

There are no Short Story Maduro's available for retail, they have mainly been used for charity events.

The Short Story is far and away, the one cigar that has never let me down and is probably the one I reach for most.
