jdancingkid...
I do not condone this company in any way. I've tried a couple of their "Cuban" smokes and they do NOT taste like Cubans, and are not, imho, very good cigars. However, I believe you need to go back and re-read my previous post.
1) I did not say ALL people who buys fakes fall into the category of stupid. Most of us have been "had" at one time or another by someone passing off fakes as the real thing; either by an overseas retailer or a private individual (overseas or here). My point was that people who buy "Cuban" cigars from a company which is based in the USA (the opening page title of their site says "Cuban Habanos USA") have to be daft. There is no way on God's earth a USA-based company advertising on the web, selling real Cubans, would escape the wrath of the Feds. That is flat common sense.
2) They state on their "About Us" page quite clearly, in a sentence all by itself, "Our Tobacco comes from Cuban seed grown by us in different countries." Anyone who can't read that and understand what it means is not using their head. Also on that page, their opening line states, "South Beach Cigar Factory. The official house of the Cuban cigar in the U.S.A based out of Miami Beach Florida...." That's pretty clear to me that they are a USA-based company and no way could they stay in business without being arrested if they were selling real Cuban cigars. Again, that is just common sense.
3) Of course, no reasonable person would deny someone their basic human rights or rights as citizens based upon their buying from the site in question. My comments about driving, voting, breeding were made to drive home my points; i.e. making fun of people who think they can buy real Cuban cigars from a USA-based company. It wasn't meant to be taken that seriously.
