Genuine cigar!!!

Last week I received some of the new GENUINE cigars
made by Rolando Reyes. They are a robusto size,
5x52 approximately. cA had an article on this
cigar recently also. It apparently is the cheap line
from the same people that make Puros Indios.

I received 5 of them from OPT. All had a dark wrapper, not
a real dark maduro but like a dark EMS or light mad.
They were firm, but not hard. Some small veins
but the wrapper was pretty smooth. It lit easily
and the burn was very consistant. The only touch up
I had to do was because of my poor job of lighting.
It immediately had flavor of leather. This stayed
pretty consistant through out, but about half way it
did develop some pepper and gave a little lip and
tongue tingle. This little smoke actually had some
buzz factor which I was not expecting. Large volume
of smoke too! Firm ash, only tapped the ash twice while
smoking this stogie. Each time it was about an inch
and a half. It did not get hot even when I smoked it
down to where my fingers were hot. I thought it pretty
good for what is considered a cheap smoke. I think
they are supposed to sell for $3 or under. OPT may know
for sure.

All of this on top of a fabulous 20 oz medium rare
Kansas City Strip steak, salad, loaded baked potato,
and with a glass of single malt. Aaaaaaah!!!

rkt, sounds like a meal fit for a king! Thanks for the review. I'll have to grab a 5-pack and give 'em a shot.

Nice review, will have to go have a nice steak tonight now!

Yep, those little tasty things (the genuines) are making it into my regular totation. They are running around $2.00 each. Even at the MSRP price, of well under $4, it has a great flavor to price value ratio.
