Good cigar shops?

Hello fellow BOTL/SOTL's,

I'll be traveling from New England down to GA in January, was wondering if anyone could recommend a good shop or two along the way? Mostly taking I-95 straight down, I'll be stopping in the Norfolk area for a night as well.

Appreciate any suggestions. :z

Hmm..I'm here in GA, and the only cigar shop I know of is the tinderbox in the local mall.. there's probably some good ones around here, but I don't have a car (stupid parking permits!) and mass transit goes to the mall... Hopefully some of the other GA BOTLs will chime in with some advice for ya... where in GA you comin to?

Well , right off I-95 in Philadephia there's a shop called Liberty Smokes , it sits between "Cheerleaders Gentlemens Club" and "Excitement Video" . So basically it sit's between and GO-GO bar and a Porno video store , you can see it from the interstate . Just take the Front St. exit and at the bottom of the ramp make a left , stay in the left lane and turn left into the first plaza right before the Burger King . To get back on I-95 just retrace your drive . If your hungry , exit the plaza and make a left , go to the next traffic light and make a right , about 200 feet down on the left there's a place called Tony Lukes Old Philly style sandwiches , they serve breakfast , lunch and dinner , the roast pork italian with roasted hot peppers is my favorite , they have outside seating or you can take it with you . I'm starting to sound like a tour guide . Anyway the cigar shop is nice with a nice size walk-in humi . The owner actually keeps Opus-X out on the shelves and doesn't limit them , unlike other shops where they seem to hide and limit them . Good luck and if you're wondering about the neighborhood , it's South Philly - not bad - semi retail area . Hope this helps . :u

The Humidour in Timonium MD. It is a top notch place. Smoking section and a nice selection of cigars and accessories.

It is a little off the beaten path but not to bad. You would have to get onto 695 towards Towson from I95 but it is worth the trip IMO.
