Goodbye

Don't get rid of your sticks...you'll be back. :)

We all go through phases and would hate to see you regret getting rid of them.

~Mark

:tpd: Been there. Up until the last few years I was a on again off again cigar smoker. I think it happens to the best of us. Like others have mentioned, keep your gars and care for them because there is a good chance you will be back. IF not than you will have some nicely aged cigars that could probably fetch you a decent chunk of change.

Whoops, you got it, didn't mean to say not.

whoaaa! that's what i read too.
thought you were like "yea i won't miss any of the good times or people", "i hated it all anyway" ha ha ha.
just thought you were being VERY straight forward.

i have a few other hobbies i have seem to lost interest in as well. sometime you just move on, sometimes you come back.
well think of it this way, if you do come back, you'll have plenty of aged goodies, if you keep all your sticks.
:ss

I understand where your comming from here. Right now my priorities have changed a bit. My spending habbits hhave changed and I find it hard to take the time to enjoy a cigar. The times I am able to I just don't think of it. I have a humidor full of great sticks and will continue to take care of them because I know when I do pull one out it will be excellent. I enjoy a cigar most when I am with friends who also enjoy the leaf. I hope that never changes.

I'm sure you will,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Over the past couple months I have realized that I have not purchased or smoked a cigar in quite some time. As I began to think about it more I realized I do not feel the same about this hobby as I once did. I still check the cooler everyday and make sure my sticks are in a perfect environment but I do not have any urge to smoke them at all.

So brothers, I guess this is time to say goodbye to the leaf. I will not miss the times I enjoyed with good cigars, drinks, and friends, or the friendships and people I have met here. I will still continue to lurk here and post every once in awhile like I have been.

I went through a time where I didn't smoke or buy for about a month or so. Thought I was done with it, but one day I found myself dying for a good smoke. Maybe its just a phase for you, but if not, take care of your sticks.

Sorry to see you go, but I'll be more than happy to dispose of your remaining sticks for you! :r

jk hold on to them, age them, and one day you may want to smoke them again. Goodluck with whatever new hobby you may pick up

As mentioned in some of the above posts, keep a casual watch on the aging process in your humi. One of these fine days, it will be nice to have a well aged stick to lean on or maybe to ponder "the meaning of life" from time to time, right?:tu

So, check-in from time to time and we'll see ya next time round...

I'm really greedy. How about sending me like a 5 pack of smokes!? I mean, c'mon you're not going to be needing them!

I wonder myself when or if this day will come - hopefully your just taking a break and will come back with a heavier desire than before - either, take care and bottom line, you'll have some nciely aged sticks in the future.

Sounds to me like you haven't been smoking strong enough sticks to let the nicotine take a hold. I'm not addicted or anything, but, well.....

Sorry to see you give up on the Leaf, but I bet you'll be back.

Take care.:tu

Whoops, you got it, didn't mean to say not.

I thought as much... well, I hope the memories of those times would be enough to keep you involved. If not, glad you were here for a while.

CS isn't going anywhere... if you change your mind, we will be here! :ss

smoking cigars is similiar to playing golf, you get burned out. I haven't picked up a club since 2005, when I decided to sell all my sticks on ebay, w/ a +1.2 hdcp. When you don't enjoy something, it's not worth the time, no matter how good you are or how good the product is.
