I was gifted 5 of these with a recent online order and havn't fired one up just yet. It sure sounds like the opinion is wildly divided on these.
 
burning one right now. Started off very solid, but 1/2 throught gets somewhat bitter. Nothing that some humi time should cure. I think these have potential.

If you smoke it ROTT, it is subpar. i rested mine for a few months and it started coming around. I have 3 left and will wait 6, 12, 18 months respectively to smoke them all to see how the aging process affects them. I couldn't pass earth science in high school, not even after 3 tries but all of a sudden, I think I;m the f**kin Mr. Wizard of tobacco. I need help.

I bought 20 of these at cbid for 60 bucks a couple weeks ago, all different sizes.
I did that despite the fact that I smoked one a few months back and it was so bad I chucked it in the alley before a half an inch was up.
They look so damned good that they just have to be good. Don't they?
 
My brother got a hair in one of these that I gave him. God only knows if it was from a human. LOL. But he smoked it and enjoyed it nonetheless. :tu

Thats my original post on the 1666 story, but that's only based on my speculation and the discussion of a few on here...I'd love to know the real story...I've emailed Graycliff but they have declined to answer my email to this date. Never the less, like I've said, I think of these cigars as decent $2 smokes..certain not a $7-10 cigar but I can't say I don't have a box in my coolador!:ss
 
Sorry for the threadjack, Jimbo but if anyone has a fiver of Toros or Robustos they would like to trade, please let me know. :D
