Gurkha Fuerte

Anyone tried one of these yet? Apparently it's an a$$ kicker of a cigar. CI, for some reason, has them on sale where a 6 pack cost more then a 12 pack:ss

Thought someone might like to give them a try at that price. Gurkha Fuerte

i had them. won a 5 pack on cbid. I didnt really care for them that much. Thou i have to say when i got them they were dried out. Also a couple of the stick had the cello stuck to the cigar. I plan on trying them again. I think i just got a bad 5.

They are actually one of my favorite cigars. Great flavor though the wrappers tend to explode. I usually get them off cbid for about $25 or so for 12. Great $2 smoke in my opinion. I wouldn't pay CI price for them though.

I am a fan of the Gurkha Fuerte...it has a nice chocolatey flavor. The wrappers do tend to be fragile. I had a lot of wrapper problems at 70% that seemed to go away once I brought down the rh to 65%. They are quite tasty IMHO!!!

I'll have to keep an out for these at $2. I wish Gurhka made smaller RG cigars.

I've always been one to defend Gurkha.

But damn, I had one last night that just fell flat. Totally bland 2d maduro taste. Didn't really even taste like a Fuerte.

Blah.

I will be trying one in the next week or so. I had a Fuerte Torpedo Grande sent to me by Rizzle a few weeks ago, and I won a 5pk of the same on CBid and a 5pk of the XO's. Letting them rest, but will try one shortly.

I have had a few of these and I do enjoy them. Got them off a daily deal at CI. Of the three I smoked, one had a problem with the wrapper, and the other two were just fine. Burned evenly and the draw was great. Not an overpowering cigar, but enjoyable at around $2 per.

Straight from cbid they aren't NEAR as good as they are after just 2 months in my humi. Might have been just as good with less rest, don't know because it was that long between #1 and #2.

I TRY to let everything I buy rest for a couple months before I smoke it. Sometime I just can't wait. I got a 5er of La Gloria Cubana Flechas Especiales Maduro in last week, they were so pretty I had to try one. I was not disappointed.

Smoke that thing already! It's had plenty of naptime.
:ss

One of my goto sticks. I like the toro size. It doesn't have the wrapper problems of the Torpedo Grande. I them get on the Devil's Playground for around $2/stick. 65% rh for around 2-3 months do these just fine.

Because of this thread I smoked one of my churchills a couple nights ago. Burn was razor straight, not a single relight in two and a half hours, and the wrapper only exploded when I got to the last inch or so. :ss But it had at least six months of rest at 65% on it. Tasted great.

From my experiences and from what I've read here on the forums, the Gurkha Fuerte could be the poster child for 65% RH.
