Well it’s been at least a week so it must be time for K. Hansotia to put out another cigar!!
Surfing around I found these over at cheaphumidors.com. See the definition of Kapre below. The name fits, this one is another “monster” like the Titan and Beast – (6.5 x 58) (http://www.cheaphumidors.com/Mercha...Product_Code=GUR-KAPRE&Category_Code=Preorder)

Who knows when they will hit wider distribution?

Interesting name “Kapre” based on a somewhat harmless Bigfoot-type monster from Phillipino folklore. He spends all his time in trees and never parts from a huge cigar that apparently never extinguishes. Now if Hansotia can make one of those – that would be a trick. The word Kapre apparently comes from Spanish (kapfre) which came from the Moorish/Arabic word “Kaffir” meaning unbeliever – Can’t remember who has that in their sig-line here (drity Kuffir #1)

Wow, are Gurkas down to just one release a week. I was beginning to think every cigar they make is called something different or packaged differently. I'm glad I am not a huge fan or else it would be impossible to remember what I liked and what I didn't.:r

Oh, on your question, I'm sure they'll be on CI/Cbid soon, maybe under a different name.

In my opinion, Gurhka has made a fatal error... Is it just me, or do they not seem like a boutique cigar company anymore? They still charge their boutique prices, but they have way too many cigars.

I loved the Kapre story and the link showing the illustration of the beast. "When the trees move and there is no wind...." a cigar that never goes out...whoa!

Great story, let us know if the cigar lives up to the "Legend".

I think they really jumped the shark when they started taking their bargain-basement cigars(K. Hansotia Symphony, Castle Hall, Triple Ligero X3) and labelling them as part of their regular Gurkha line. Not to mention the fact that the brand is shamelessly gimmicky. It's too bad, because I really like the Regent and Ancient Warrior.

:r :r thats rich! so true too, the guy cant have time to even taste all these smokes! Poor Torano and CAO, sitting back watching Gurkha make 10 cigars out of 3 cigar blends.

thanks for the history behind the name- very cool! my interest however, stops there. 58 rg? i best get my dental work done first!
