Has anyone been to the Thompson store in Tampa?

Hi guys:

I ordered from Thompson a few months ago. It was a sampler that was a good deal, and it was before I knew anything about cigars, and before I had discovered Club Stogie.

Now, of course, I get bombarded by constant emails and monthly catalogs. I don't really mind the catalogs, they have pretty pictures and give me some reading material when I'm on the throne.

I just got an email with a coupon for a CAO/Rocky/Pepin sampler, but you have to print out the coupon and go to the store.

Now, my humi is full, but I would totally be up for a shopping spree/mini-herf with fellow CS members in the Tampa area, or even meeting up with the Orlando guys for a cigar road trip.

So, have any of you been there? Is it good? Is it big? Is it worth it? Any advice would be appreciated!

Never been there, but from the tone of their catalog I can only picture a miniature WalMart, but with cigars.

Been there on my trips to Tampa. The 'shop' is in the lobby of their building. They're mostly a mail-order business, and an actual B&M is not there strong suit. I've been waiting to hear if they are going to have another Cigar Artisans in the fall. That's worth the money to go to, you get a bunch of cigars and free food, etc. There are certainly A LOT more cigar stores in and around the Tampa area that would make for a better trip. Oh, Thompson's doesn't really sell too many singles. It's mostly boxes, bundles, and assortments.
