Have you ever thrown away cigars?

I would think you would offer them up here, in the WTS forum. You may not like a particular cigar, but that doesn't mean nobody does...just my :2
:tpd:
Especially in a forum like this, with such a diversity of taste, I would have (and I have) offered sticks that I didn't like to someone else. One man's dog rocket is another man's relaxing afternoon smoke.

I agree with what some of the other BOTL's have stated and that is, NO WAY! I've given away many a smokes (via bombs or simply give-a-ways) that I didn't care for anymore that someone else loved and very much appreciated. I see merely throwing them out as a complete waste and a shame. In my experience, there are very few cigars that exist that someone else doesn't enjoy, regardless of what your opinion is of them. Therefore, when you outgrow a cigar or don't like one for whatever reason, find someone else who does and surprise them; that is the fun of this hobby! :)

I don't see me sending troops my rejects. "Thanks for fighting for our country and here are some cigars I hated so much I was willing to throw them away."

95% of the members here would consider Acid's to be rejects. But the are the most requested smokes by the Troops. Many would also consider Macanudo's to be a throw away smoke, but it is the #1 selling brand. As another said, One man's trash....:2

Why yes I have thrown a box of cuban RY&Js that some one gave me after sitting in their closet for a year plus and some fake Opus X.

But isn't it different if it is something they requested as opposed to something you rejected? I converted 2 more people in the last week that originally had negative cigar experiences. I don't want to take a chance on supplying a troop with a cigar he may hate. I'd rather it get thrown away or possibly sold here than thrown away after paying to ship it there. I think when I have been around a little longer I'd rather contribute money and let them get what they are requesting than just send them some random rejection.

I use to throw out smokes all the time - but that was before I found Club Stogie.

I normally give them away to someone. Throwing them away is just a waste. someone will want them. (Sending them to the troops, as mentioned before is a great idea. I know when I was in the field, we would smoke whatever cheap crap we got mailed to us... and we liked it!)

I don't see anything wrong with sending the troops decent cigars that you personally just don't care for. Sure, you don't want to send them crap, but the OP's cigars were not exactly dog rockets. It's received some decent reviews and I know some people who like them.
