Have you ever tossed a $15+ cigar?

Last year I did light up a gifted MC #2 from the REAL home of Monte's and didn't have three puffs when our big gelding snatched it out of my hand when I wasn't looking!! He likes tobacco and I occasionally gift him an unlighted dog rocket as a treat. His favorites are the Havana Rejects, he seems to like maduro's.

He snatched it and basically cut it in half when the smoke finally hit him and he dropped it. I got out the trusty cutter.......he and I SHARED the MC. MY part was a lot shorter than his unfortunately.

:r That is so funny, I am still laughing just thinking about it. Isn't there an old spaghetti western that has the very same scene in it? Thanks for sharing!!

They make cigars that cost $15.00..???:hn
Know what I mean Bob? :D

I tossed a $8.00 cigar once. Way too much of a green, grassy flavor.

Nobody likes a smarta$$, Jeff.

Yes, it's true, I've never bought a $15.00 cigar. I did have an Anejo 46 maduro gifted to me by a very generous DJM in the "Newbie pif-new but not improved" PIF. It was very nice but, as you (and a few others) might know, I would never buy a cigar this expensive. I think the most expensive cigar I've ever purchased was the Ashton Age Maduros and this was quite a few years ago when they were around $5.00/cigar.

The most I've spent recently was a box of RP Sungrown Toros but I got a great deal on these due to a heads-up from a friend:)

WyoBob (whose ave. price in 240 quarts worth of cigars is still around $2.00. It pays to shop online deals!)

LGC R. 'Bout hyperventilatred tying to draw on the thing, and it kept going out on me! Gave up after fighting it for about ten minutes or so. Don't think it's that expensive, tho! Don't think it was a Ltd.

Horses as well as goats seem to enjoy tobacco.

When I was a kid we had a nubian goat as a stable mate to my Morgan horse. My dad would give her cigarettes occasionally. If You gave her a Parliament filter first, she instantly would manuever it around in her lips to eat it from the foot end, spitting out the filter. It was hilarious to watch.

I have tossed more than one Opus. It seems I manage to always buy the sticks that wont smoke out of the box...the main reason I do not like the Opus is because they don't smoke as well as many other cheaper cigars....

Never. Every cigar I've ever bought was upon recommendation in one thread or another on this forum. I've never just walked into a B&M and bought something without doing my research. I guess I owe all the great gorillas here a bit of gratitude for never having to toss a smoke after lighting it, let alone a $15+ smoke.

Had a Monte #2 that I perceived as nothing less than a dog rocket. Whether it met the price point I don't know but it was a big let down. I had this saved up for a Herf and thought I would be cool with this giant lancero. Threw it out about 1/4 of the way through and switched to a Padilla 1932 which was probably the best cigar I have ever smoked.

Sure I've tossed $15+ cigars ... when they were good and nubbed.

In all seriousness, I'm sure I have but not often.

Yeh I had to throw out a Graycliff Espresso. I was so pissed off I smoked it way too fast and could not touch it up to a point where it would burn right.

tonite i threw a opus robo out-uneven burn (i can live w/that) but it was flavorless going into the 2nd 1/3 w/a hard draw-it was from 4.07, i keep my humi around 63% & no trouble w/any other sticks so this time it wasn't operator error-sorta pissed me off to be honest-grabbed a famous private selection nicaraguan corojo & had much better luck-the $1.25 stick over the $15 one, pretty bad if ya ask me

I tossed an El Centurion Gladiadore recently. It was way too tight and I couldn't get any smoke out of it.

I've seen Blueface toss some really nice cigars.... thing is they aren't lit and if he tosses one to you you have to keep it.:ss

I've still never smoked a $15 dollar cigar. I'm not sure at this point in my cigar career that I could tell the difference between a $5 and a $15 cigar. Didn't think it made sense to spend the extra money. I'm sure that will change someday soon.

I've tossed some dog rockets, my latest a JR courtesy of CMK325i, but never intenionally tossed a high dollar stick.

Funny stuff. My brother use to feed one of the horses he trained chewing tobacco. Man, he loved it. The horse was a bit of a nut job though. He knocked a different brother out as a yearling. My brother didn't remember a thing, thus earning the horse the name "Troy's Amnesia". Turned out to be a pretty good race horse.

Thanks for bringing back the memory :tu
