Help Indentify These Cigars Please -

RGD

Elder Jungle Leader
Thinking I got these from either CI or JR's as some kind of add on or freebie. Didn't write down what they were when I got them and now can't remember. Anyone have a clue as to what they are?

Thanks,

Ron

Not a clue... I hate when that happens. Best chance you got of identifying them is to call the two stores you list with the order number. They should be able to tell you what they are.

I don't have a clue when I got them - within the last year - no order number to go with them. I checked on both sites to include the devil site as far back as they would let me - no dice.

Maybe I'll try checking some older catalogs and see if they have something that looks similar - odd thing is no bands with the cellophane.

send them to me and i will let my friends smoke them and we will tell you what they are :2

Was it a past bomb Ron?

Naw - just something I got with an order - did not even open it when I got it, just tossed it in the coolerdor. Didn't mark it so I don't even know what the heck it is.

What size are they?

Good question - let's see - hold a minute -

Looks to about 5 1/4 by 42 RG
The cigar on the whole is spongy -

Might as well smoke one - :D

Used a punch - nice and clean.
Draw - fairly loose.
Intial taste - ummm bland

Odd smell to it - I've smelled this aroma before - hmmm

Burn is not very sharp - looks like the edges are trying to curl as it burns.

At the one inch mark I'm picking up a strong hint of Swedish jingleberries with undertones of rich black Corinthian leather - :D :D

I think I have decided on the aroma - it's very similar to when I use to have to shovel horse crap from the barn back in high shcool.

Two inches and my two thoughts are - One - God I hope I didn't actually pay for these. Two - if I had made this I wouldn't put a band on it either.

Two and 1/4 inches into it - heading over to the faucet to put and end to it - but hey! My very first review! :D

Looks like they have resorted to giving away the Cremosas. Pretty tricky taking the bands off and putting cello on though.

Great, Ron; you have now successfully warned us to stay away from a cigar you can't identify :D .

Ron,
My initial thought was they looked like a Rolando Reyes product. Now you say spongy, I have a box of Cuban Aliados the construction looks the same and there spongy too. The Reyes's have farms all over central america pumping out cigars for different companies at one point. They own land in DR so these could have come from his factory there.. The factory in DR is used for wrappers only according to an article I read..

The Cuban Aliados Brand is stamped Hon. I'm not sure about his other brands.
Based on your description, I'll go out on a limb here, made by Rolando Reyes and company no doubt, more than likely picked up at JR's.

You could call JR's they'd have your account info.

I could be totally off base with this, but when you said spongy that sealed it.
There is a reason they were free.
