I made the mistake of offering him my cutter. He looked at me like I was crazy and told me, "Hell, I've been chewing the cap off for 65 years, what do I need a fancy cutter for?"

I've gotten by with working a pocket knife around the top-most cap before.
I rarely carry a razor blade - always got a pocket knife (unless I'm on a plane).
