Help with devil site purchase.

I was lucky enough to pick up a Chancellor cabinet humidor from the devil site and now I need an opinion on humidification systems for it. It has an electrical plug built in it, so that's not a problem. I've heard about noise issues with some of the Cigar Oasis's, but don't know if that's an isolated issue. I'm just trying to find the right way to keep it humidified. I appreciate any help guys!

Once I get the unit, I'll try to get some pics posted!

If you want to go electric try a moist-n air they work great, but the best deal is to get some humi beads say 65% enough for your cabinet. They work when the power goes out. I have a oasis xl II and I had to send it back for repair. While it was gone the cabinet kept the humidity level with just 10 humidifier blocks with distilled water. I will never waste my money on an oasis system again. Go with the humi beads.

I have a cabinet (2500+) and simply use beads throughout to keep it humidified. In my opinion, you do not need active humidification in a unit like that. Feel free to PM me with questions on setup and maintenance. :tu

I have a Verona cabinet and chose to go with the Avallo. It is absolutely the best choice for a cabinet application and will be easily upgradeable if I go bigger. But it costs a lot of $!

That said, my second choice would have been beads. A lot of people have problems with the cheaper active humidification solutions.

I have 2 Cigar Oasis and beads in mine.

The main problem I had with the cabinet was the seal wasn't great. Once that problem was solved it holds a constant level pretty well. I do think that the oasis units are loud though.

Shilala beads. PM him he will set you up. I have them in my vino and they are great.

I second Shilala beads, I have had heartfelt in the past. I am much happier with Shilala's beads...and the customer service is second to NONE!

Thanks for your help guys.

UH-OHHHHHHHHH. Someone else what's to get sucked in.

The 'devil site' is www.cigarbid.com. It is highly addictive as it has a lot of great buys. Once you start, it then it has your soul.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D

Thanks, been there! Did't find it all that addictive.....prices seem to be higher than retail at my local B&M? I buy a lot of simi tractors at on line auctions, guess I have gotten disiplined, set your price and walk away, can't to emotional with this stuff.

Thanks

I think they can be a bit high. Some of the better cigar website offer much of the stuff at a similar (and sometimes, lesser) price.

It's probably like ebay--it's all about timing....

Looks like you have some great advise from the pros and it sounds like a you are asking the right questions.

Good luck on the purchase.

Cbsmokin nice rack... I mean humi.!
