finally broke down and bought a henry tool set,figured it was worth the investment if I use it twice on 2 pricey smokes...

:tpd::tpd:Darrell used mine at Saturday's herf to save an Esplendido. I have saved several less expensive smokes with a few clean pokes. Well worth the investment of $20-25. Where is that guy? I miss hearing his stories!:dr:BS
 
They sure come in handy.
Just make sure you practice on cheap smokes first or will ruin a few good ones by going a bit off center and right through the side of the cigar.
 
I was given a set by volfan (thanks again Scottie) and have only had to use them a handfull of times but when I did, they worked like a charm.

Am I to assume these can't be purchased any longer? The search didn't reveal too much and since no one's heard from palm55 in awhile, I guess we can't buy the Henry tool anymore?

If it saves 3 good cigars for you, it has paid for itself, even if it isn't effective 100% of the time. :2

So what is the big difference between the Henry Tool and a draw poker? Is the bore of the tool larger and what do you use to keep the tool straight as it goes thru the length of the cigar, esp. if it is a churchill?

Nuttin they were actually pretty low tech as draw pokers go. The marketing was entertaining though.
