Holt's apologizes to Padilla

When it comes to online vendors my scruples are in my wallet. Whoever has the best price, shipping and service combination gets my business. I could care less what Holts thinks of Padilla. What I care about is, are my cigars in good shape when they get to me and what did it cost me.:2

You are correct my friend, can't believe I missed that. Well I will never step foot through their door even though they sell Vector lighter fluid for $3.50 for 13oz and their pipe tobacco never sells so it's all that older crap. :mad::r
 
Holt's screwed up and stepped on their own dick.

They apologized and I'd like to think this mess is over.

Let's move on.
 
I've had good/quick service from Holts in the past. No I didn't agree with the advertisment, but they did revise it on the website pretty quickly, and have now delivered a written apology. Why wouldn't they deserve a second chance from the cigar community?

They apologize in the next catalog and that is not soon enough for you? Sould they have sent an interim catalog apology? Or maybe the should have sent a hand written letter to everyone one the list? I wounder if the cost of sending an apology is more or less than the loss of sales you seem to have visibility into... How do you know how much thier sales have suffered?

You would never expect such unprofessional conduct from an outfit like Holt's. The write-up on Padilla was VERY harsh, in my opinion, and no professional should open themselves up to something like that. As for the apology, I'm sure it was issued after a noticable decrease in sales. This was out almost a month ago, and only now apologized. They obviously don't mean it, as it took too long for it to come out. Their sales are suffering, and it shows.
 
I found the original comment to be a little crappy but not enough to stop ordering from them. My wife and I talk to each other like that every day and I keep coming back for more.

I've always trusted Holts and have purchased from them when they had deals worth buying....The comments in the catalog in question turned me off a bit but they have been addressed enough to make me feel free to move on...Holts isnt going away because of this and I cannot imagine Padilla going Buh Buy...
With or without Holts support...:2 :tu
