How far would you go?

I couldnt stand the cold, so I broke down and just lit one up on the couch inside. I think it was the best decision I have made in some time. I can truly appreciate whatever I am smoking. I have scented candles burning, and an Ionic Breeze running. I do not care too much sense I pay the bills :tuCome spring time I can air out the apartment and not worry about it. :ss Smoke on, whatever way you can!!:chk

Try a Mr. Heater. They are around $30 and put out a lot of heat. I either sit on the porch or out in the shop with mine.

That's my method, I sit in my garage with the door partly open, mr. heater where I can rotate to warm different sides (hmmm...like a rotisserie) and light it up. I have a desk out there so I boot up the laptop and start reading threads.

I routinely smoke smaller cigars in temperatures as low as 20F as long as it's not too windy. The key is to bundle up and keep moving. I light up and then make a lap or two around my small townhome community and my yard. I keep an eye out for anything suspicious and sometimes pick up trash from the ground. I look at it as an opportunity to do my good deed for the day and get a smoke in at the same time. If it's 40F or higher, I'll sit on my deck or on the patio below with a cup of coffee and smoke something longer. Below 20F or in windy conditions, I only smoke at a cigar store or bar. Eventually I'll complete seal off my garage from the house and smoke in there with a space heater but that will have to wait until my brother and his fiance move out because they would throw a holy fit :r

I travel about 25 min. to what I call my local B&M, a couple of towns over. They have a great public smoking room, just as cherry as the private lounge, just smaller.

I just put my box fan in the living room window and open the kitchem window for a draft and smoke away while watchin T.V and sitting in my leather chair (who needs the Havanah Room). I spray some Fabreez air freshner before the better half gets home and I am scott free. I do live in california, so it never gets extremly cold, but the rain can reak havoc on a cigar.

I'm down with the parabolic heater. These things work great, they're completely silent. I have one in my garage and smoke away.

Outside, I'd need an electric heater. I broke down tonight and lit a fire in the fireplace and torched two sticks blowing the smoke toard andmostly up the chimney. Sittin' a foot from the fire gets hot. lol

Not sure exactly where you are located here - but Old Virginia Tobacco in Kingstowne allows smoking anywhere in the store and they have a small area in the rear to sit. Cigar Palace over at 4815-A Eisenhower Avenue also allows smoking - very small store with an even smaller place to sit.

Allow me to share my technique.

The only good room in my house to smoke is my bathroom. It is, like most bathrooms, just tile and wood,so the smell of smoke doesn't "stick" to anything for very long.

I start off by removing my clothes hamper, and all the bathmats. The door is closed and a towel is placed that goes along the bottom of the door to help keep the smoke from getting to the rest of the house. I then take a standard oscilating fan and have it blow out the bathroom window, while also having a space heater going to keep things warm.

I know what you're thinking... that I would be essentially just blowing all of that hot air outside, but I have been in there for 2 hours at a time and the temperature remains constant at around 70 degrees. Plus, the stogie smoke is blown either right out the window, or through the ceiling fan!

Too bad I'm not home right now, as the picture of this truly is worth 1,000 words...

OK, for those of us up North where it's COOOOOLD. How far would you go to have a cigar? I'm not standing outside on the balcony freezing my nads off to smoke a stick I won't enjoy 'cuz I'm freezing. My local B&M doesn't have anywhere to smoke. The next closest that I can find is about 30 minutes away. Secondary question is how do you find cigar friendly places to smoke?

car.

I will just stop somewhere between work and home, I am a sissy when it comes to trying to smoke in the cold. Snow=no go, for me atleast.
