How hot is "too hot"?

I'm used to started and ending my weekend days with a cigar. But as of this weekend, Mother Nature has not only turned up the heat, but the humidity as well. Yesterday morning I went out onto my porch to smoke a Padron, and I couldn't keep the damned thing lit! It got to 102 degrees yesterday with more of the same today!

Do any of you gorillas smoke in the heat? Let's say going to a B&M with a smoker's lounge is not an option.

Hard for me to smoke outside and be comfortable past 75 degrees. Won't be smoking much these next few days except at work maybe.

I feel for your situation. It’s not that hot here in FL, or at least not where I live but it did get pretty hot yesterday and with the humidity it was uncomfortable to say the least. I’m a Churchill fan myself and with the heat and humidity I can’t seem to get even half way thru one sometimes so I’ve had to slow down my enjoyment of cigars to only a few a week and even those I smoke only in the very early morning or after 9pm in the evening when its cooler. I’ve also switch from my Churchill’s down to the robusto’s to have a fighting chance at finishing one before I die. I haven’t tried any of the B&M’s around here but I will sometimes go over to the casino and have a cigar while I drink a cold bear or sip on a bourbon. I also get to watch the babes go by as my wife is off watching people loose tons of money!

I haven't meant TOO HOT to smoke outside yet.

I just bring a towel with me to wipe the sweat from my head every 30 seconds. And no, that's not a joke. Ask CBI_2

I don't know dude. 102 degrees with a heat index making it feel like 108-110 degrees outside. I hope that towel is a beach towel, 'cause it's gonna be soaking up aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalot of sweat!

You are just a diehard dedicated cigar fan and I can appreciate that! :)

I sit in my garage, with the door open, and the fan on. So far, there isn't a "too hot" yet. :ss

DC is very hot, hooray for making the wife to IKEA and smoke on the way :tu

I'm usually ousted by humidity instead of temperature

With a decent shade the temperature is always tolerable.

I had one yesterday around 1:00 p.m. out on the deck. I had decent shade and a little breeze but even then it was 95 where I was sitting. Any higher and I think I would have to wait for cooler temps. As mentioned previously, the humidity was a bear yesterday.

Not going to be much better today. Where did Spring go?

If it is above 90, I won't be smoking.

When it is pain stakingly hot outside I stay up till about 1:30 in the morning, then go for a walk since there is no traffic and the temperature is bearable.

When it is over 100 I don't smoke outside. I will wait until evening when the temp drops, then go out for a smoke. I just can't enjoy a cigar when I have sweat rolling down my face.

As long as there is a breeze, I can handle the temps, but yesterday the breeze didn't help one bit. And today, the humidity is so high, it seems like the air can't move!

Sounds like a day for the beach. Standing in the surf with a good cigar in one hand and a cold beverage in the other can be nice. One of our lawyers might pipe in here but I'm pretty sure, jurisdictionally, no one can tell you not to smoke based upon some local law or ordinance if you are in the ocean or one of the great lakes.

Weather that's 'too hot' is a foreign concept to me since I moved to London. However, I used to live in Reno and had the best summers of anywhere in the world. I had no problem smoking a cigar with a nice beverage in >90F weather.

Damn, do I miss that.

102 in Vegas is not so bad if you are in the shade. 90 and humid in Missouri starts to get uncomfortable especially if there is no wind. Of course in both places it is just fine in the casino! :D

Its going to be 95 here today.

Taking kids and cigars to the beach. This should be realy fun. :chk

Heck, I wish I had time to go to the beach. I won't get anywhere near a beach until our family vacation in September. Last year I bought my humi down with me. It was great! Nice breeze sitting out on the deck of the beach house, watching the dolphins and reading a great book. Man, is September a long way off.

Ya know, I may go outside and try to smoke anyway!

Waay too hot to smoke in the heat of the day. I generally wait till the sun goes down. Usually a nice breeze here in SE Texas so anytime after 6-7 PM I can usually tolerate the heat.
