How was YOUR fishing?

Monkeying around
I thought I would share some pics from my fishing trip this weekend. While on the Lackawaxen River in PA, I started out, as I usually do, with a Sancho Panza Lancero, followed up with a San Cristobal Fabuloso, and finished up with an RP Vintage 1990. As for the fishing, I started with a nice rainbow, then a nice brookie with a pretty good kip, and ended the day with a walleye, of all things.

Anyone else get a chance to get some fishing in this weekend?

Took the boat out yesterday, had a RP Vintage 1990.

I got one lil' bass, but the fishings been tough here lately

Rock and roll brother! That's what it's all about right there. Nothing beats a day like that. :tu

Fishing has been pretty much non existent here lately. Some decent chinook runs down south towards Portland, and some left over steelys. The steelhead run this year was pathetic at best, too much river fluctuation. Hopefully the summer coho and chinook runs will make up for it. I might try some dreadful lake fishing this year. I hate being on calm lake waters, it's too damn boring. I'd rather be in the river with a pair of waders, working up and down the bank. Now that's fishing!!! :tu

Salmon is closed in Cali for at least the next year, probably longer.

Hoping to go out for halibut with a few brothers in the next month or so.:ss

that is great man, sounds like you had a fantastic time. This weekend I went camping with my bro and some buddies. This was a great guys out weekend and we set up tents, started a fire, had drinks, roasted some sausages and lit up stogies. The sky was clear black and the stars were just glistening as we smoked the night away.. if anyone is in Cali/Nevada area we went to El Dorado forests Cats Creek area I believe about an hour from Tahoe where we decided to end our trip before returning home. I definitely want to take up fishing though, hopefully the next camping trip.

Dang nice day all around for you bro. Congrats. Nice lookin' "eye"!! :tu

Yeah I went out Sat. am, enjoyed a Occidental Reserve and the pleasure of catching one bluegill. Yes sir......1. That's fishing in Florida in the summer - it blows, but a good cigar (or a badone) makes for good time!

Played hookie Friday and went fishing. We limited out on Red Snapper and Red Grouper, only got one Gag Grouper and and 5 Mango Snapper. At one point I had time to smoke a CAO Gold Karat as we moved spots. The type of fishing we do is unfortunately not conducive to cigar smoking. Now when we got back and got the boat and fish cleaned it was a different story. Glad you had as much fun as I did. :ss

2 small mouth (both under 2lbs) - Pumpkin Seed Worm
1 red eye (about a pound) - Pumpkin Seed Worm
3 sun perch - Rooster Tail
All caught out the little creek behind my house
Oh, did I mention the 3 snakes???
No smoke, but did take along a can of Skoal :tu

I just wanted to go boating

Dead battery, melted my fingers off trying to fix it.

Never got it started.

Had a montecristo, was a good day.

Great catch. If we have that many different kinds of fish in one place it's Rainbow, Sucker, Bluegill & catfish.
I went camping lest weekend and all I caught was a railroad spike in my dirtbike's back tire! I celebrated with an Ashton VSG.

my fishing went great! one day in chat, and i got 8 opus, 3 pam 80ths and one 40th, not to mention the 2 gof's that im expecting. oh wait... you mean real fishing... my bad... :D

i wish i could go fishing, its so relaxing, but theres nowhere to do it around here

Looks like a great time was had by all except the fish!

My fishing went fine. I caught a Bonita off of Dauphin Island, Alabama, that was probably in the eight or nine pound range, and it was a fine fight. Water was a bit too rough for the size boat I was in and we didn't stay out all day so that was about the best I did. Too bad, I was really hoping to go a bit farther out and do some Snapper fishing on some Liberty Ship wrecks.

Your eating was certainly better than mine: the Bonita isn't highly thought of as a food fish, though it is useful for bait.

Tanks are all overgrown with vegetation around here, but I did manage to land a lunker after about five minutes of digging around in my nose. I felt much better after that.

went out Monday morning in RI. my brother and I limited on striped bass. a pair of 20 pounders were nice and now in the freezer for future eats.
