Hygrometer Replacement

Hi Folks.... I just got my first humidor at a very good price and I love it but it came with a cheap hygrometer on the outside that the plastic/glass piece already popped out of. I'm including a picture of the humidor and would apprecaite any guidance in ideas of where I could by a better replacement hygrometer that would fit in the same place. The one it came with seems pretty accurate but the quality sucks.

have u tried digital meters. They work very well. I got mine from JR's in southfield Mi.

I recently purchased a couple of Caliber III Hygrometers to replace an old one that no longer worked properly and one as an addition. They are very small, they work perfectly and are very reasonable. Take a look at the link below.

I purchased a CALIBER III DIGITAL HYGROMETER FOR CIGAR HUMIDOR and it is great. The good thing about this one is it will give you highs and lows so you can see the swing in your humidor. I found out that the sun shines on my humidor for one hour a day and it really heats up. Not a good thing! By the way got it on ebay.

Otherwise, go with one of the digitals the others mentioned.

If it can't be fixed cosmetically, just buy a cheap one for looks and get a digital hygrometer. I have 5 Western Digital Caliber IIIs and they all work great. Right on in terms of temp and RH. The only problem is the high and low feature can get a little sporadic when the battery runs down. For a 10 second period it will think it is a 100F, when it is clearly not. This problem goes away when you get a new battery.

If you want, after you get a digital, you can use it to calibrate the analog on your box so it at least matches.

The Western Calibers are great and very accurate.

Also, check out the new digital hygrometer that you can adjust the display on during calibration!

Do those round digitals fit in the humi hole for the analogs? And if not, how come. Most of the analogs that come on the front of humis tend to be similar in size. If they haven't why hasn't someone come up with a hygro that fits this hole, since most people end up keeping the analog on for looks and a digi inside. this would free up precious real estate inside the humidor for more smokes. if it exists, my bad, I just didn't feel like doin any homework on this one.

thanks for your responses.... I'm just looking for something to fill the hole that has a nice look. I used glue on th eplastic piece and stuck it back on as a temporary fix until I receive a replacement. Thanks again
