Either your hygrometer if off on the temp or there is something warming your humidor. Is it in the sun?

Then, by process of elimination, your hygrometer/thermometer must be off. Have you salt-tested and calibrated it?

You'll have to test it against a calibrated thermometer (I'm assuming this is the easier way). One way to calibrate your thermometer is to fill a styrofoam cup with ice and then fill it with cold water. The thermometer should read 32 F +/- 1 F. Then you could place the calibrated thermometer with your hygrometer and see how the hygrometer does. Good luck!

From everything you've said, there's no question the themometer is off. The temp in the humidor will always be/become the temp of the surrounding air (in the room).
