I believe I have found Mecca!

Poker for the troops
I was doing a presentation in Warsaw, IN today and as I was leaving town, I saw a new shop called Angelina's Cigars. Of course, I turned around and went in to check it out. I walked in and saw a nicely laid out store with a large walk-in humidor in the back and a large smoking lounge on the side with probably 8-10 overstuffed leather chairs & couches as well as a couple poker tables. There was a sign on the lounge door that said "VIP Members Only". I figured I wouldn't go the VIP route as I live about an hour away. So, I said hi to the clerk and found out he was one of my old customers who was semi-retired and he showed me into the humidor. I have to say this was the best stocked humidor I have ever seen! There was a 6 foot wide section devoted to Padron and they had every Padron you could think of. There was even more space devoted to Rocky Patel. The Fuente section had everything except Anejos including every Hemingway and Don Carlos. There was CAO, Montecristo, Hoyo, Punch, St Luis Rey, Perdomo, Davidoff, Macanudo, and some stuff I've never heard of. I picked out a couple handfuls of cigars including some Fuente Chateau's with the Sun Grown wrapper and some RP Vintage 1992's. The whole thing came to about 80 bucks and I walked out with 14 cigars. So, the prices were okay. As I was paying for my cigars, I saw a flyer stating that membership to their VIP club was $250 and it included a humidor on site! $250 BUCKS! AND it includes membership to the sister store in Plymouth, IN which is only about 45 min away from home. I feel like a kid at Christmas. I talked to the clerk a little longer and found out that a lot of executives from companies I am selling to or trying to sell to have memberships there. So, I think I'm going to get a membership and write it off as a business expense. This is beyond cool:tu

You cant beat that with a stick. Perfect scenario. Get to smoke, write it off, and get paid to smoke while entertaining clients.

You should also be able to buy your clients some cigars, and maybe yourself too (shhhh), and write them off too.

I jealous.

As soon as I can get a working digital camera, I'm going to ask the owner if I can take some pics. This place is unreal for a small town in Indiana.

Nice!!

Nice place to be from. My wife's from Ft Wayne and my first duty assignment in the AF was just down the road at Grissom. I love the area around Warsaw with all the lakes. Next time we get back to see the In-laws I'll have to check it out!!

The Warsaw store is brand new, they just opened it up about a month ago or even less. The Plymouth store is very nice as well, here is their website http://www.angelinascigars.com/, Warsaw is just to far of a drive for me being in Mishawaka but every once in awhile I pop into the Plymouth store. But I heard and read that Warsaw has a public lounge which is nice because Plymouth is private. They don't have any rare hemingways or anything like that. I have talked to the manager at Plymouth a couple times and he was telling me they were promised Opus about a year ago and have never received them.

I had a similar experience today, as i was going home from work i saw Richmond Avenue Cigar and decided to check it out. They have a very big very organized humidor. I was very pleased to see that they carried Sancho Panza Dbl Maduros, which are one of my fav. smokes that i don't see in B&Ms much. I didn't spend long because i wanted to beat the traffic. Picked up a dbl maduro and a Sancho Xtra Fuerte!

It's only a 5 min drive from my office so now i have to find a short/inexpensive smoke to enjoy on my lunch break!!
