I give up (or down I should say)

I tried resisting the the cigar slope and decided to give in. After the herf in Mesa couple weeks ago some great cigars from great brothers, some cigars gifted to me by my grandfather (who just about jumped for joy when he found out I brought some cigars when I visited him), and some purcheses, I find myself with about 30 cigars that need a moist cedar home.

I have looked for a modest humi on the net. I am not looking for anything fancy but practicle. I have looked a JRs but they only have one in stock. I would like to find a place that has good deals on some sampler packs as well...you know no point in having a humidor if its not full of cigars :D.

Also, in addition to the humi what are the other essential things needed for the humi.

Thanks
Steve

OOOHH! I was thinking about this one
http://www.bestcigarprices.com/hupmann-cigar/ she looks like a beaute for only 99$ too!

I saw a couple for sale in the buy & sell section of this forum that were very reasonable. Other essential items would be an adjustable Hygrometer and some 65% beads.

Make sure you buy an "adjustable" digital hygrometer! A good place is heartfelt industries where:cb you can also buy your beads! Enjoy your smokes!

Does that hupman look like a good deal. I do not have that many cigars or space for a cooler, and I love the smell of cedar. I will check out some of the WTS though before going with this one.

I have three desktop humidors. the one that works very best is my Tupperdor. Has a old cigar box and a cedar tray inside it, holds about 50-60 cigars and Needs no humidifier of any kind. It stays rock steady at 62-65% rh. The only reason I have a Hygrometer in it is that i have no other place to put It. If I ever buy another humi it will be a cooler. And that 's my :2 cents worth. Brian...:ss

Just some friendly advice. You may not have enough cigars for a cooler now. However, when you DO (the slope is slippery :D) you will be happy for it. And as mentioned above, Beads, Beads, and Beads :tu:ss

Most of my 8 "normal" humidors were purchased on CBid for less than $20.00 . All 40-50 count & reliable. I recommend you try some of the boxes there, especially the Yukons. They seem to come up every couple of days, so be patient. Otherwise, get a large Sure-Seal plastic storage container from Target. The 15 quart one should cost you next to nothing. That's what I use for my everyday smokes.:tu
And YES! Get a reliable digital hygrometer. You only need one, as you can move it around to boxes as you need. I highly recommend the Western Calibre III hygrometer. You can find it for less than $25 shipped if you look.

Holt's clearance page has some smaller humis at a good price. I bought mine not too long ago from Tampa Humidor and they had GREAT prices on the larger humis I was looking at.

Well I got a call from the guy I ordered a humi from said someone beat me to it....gonna go with this deal instead
