I need some advice

Young Ape
Good evening Jungle Brothers. I am in the process of stocking a long term humidor (a year or more of sitting). I am considering putting Vintage RP 90 and 92, Cohiba, and Padron. I am fairly new to the slope and I am open for suggestions. The box can fit about 20 sticks.:)

This will sound like blasphemy but thus far I have been decidedly underwhelmed by all smokes Patel.

Some '64 Padron would be almost illegal it would be so good after a year - a '26 aged a year could land you in jail. :ss

If you have any Patel smokes around that you don't want anymore feel free to throw a few my way. Thank God there are those who don't like them so those of us who do will have plenty available. Thanks for your support!:ss

Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story
Tatuaje Unicos
Pepin Blue and Black label
Illusione 88 and 68

:tpd::tpd:I think I would lean towards aging stronger smokes. Opus is also a good choice. Padron's, IMHO are better smoked fresh. They seem to lose some of their complexity with too much aging. But if you are only looking at putting them down for a year(not really aging) then any of the choices listed would be fine. Keep in mind that almost all premium NC's are made with aged tobacco and that is the main reason blender's such as Pepin and Fuente recommend smoking them fresh. :2

Hey Bob. I am looking to let the sticks sit for more than a year (if possible). Are their any more that I could let sit other than Opus? I see this will be a very expensive investment here.:hn Damn slope.

Padron Delicias Maduro are excellent cigars, rather cheap, and age very well, from a similar experiment! :ss

ashton esg or vsg.

I've heard that the Ashton vsg's don't age very well after a year or so. I hear that they become one dimensional, so they are best smoked within a year from purchase. Personally, I find the vsg's a little strong for my taste, but that's the word on the street.

perhaps with a bit of age, that strength will mellow. Worth a try if you are only aging one. Not like he is aging boxes of sticks.

So to my understanding, Ashtons, Opus X, and a certain type of Padron are the sticks to let rest. I'll leave the Pepin alone. I thought Cohiba, Romeo y Julieta, and Montecristo were good to let sit. It is good to have you guys to guide me in the right direction. Thanks.:tu
