ILLUSIONE MK
Prelite:
I used a punch on this cigar due to its size. It was very well constructed and had a smell of coffee or coco I could not quite make it out, it had good prelite draw and was lit with my snap-on soldering Iron. The beverage of choice tonight was iced coffee with a little sugar and creamer.

First third:
This one started off with a few flavors it had that coffee coco flavor that I smelled, there was also some spicy leather flavor. There was plenty of smoke to go along with it and burned fairly quickly, I started at 7:35 and was finished around 8:15. The only problem was a little bit of a uneven burn, but I did not correct it at this time.

Second third:
There is a still lot of smoke and the spice had picked up with some hits of something sweet. The burn started to even out now and does not look like it will need to be touched up.

Final Third:

I was able to make out the spicy flavor it is pepper, and towards the nub some coco. I smoked this thing down to the very nub and will get some more next time I am out at the B&M. Over all I would rate this a 92.

As always I welcome your constructive criticism on my review.

Thanks for the awsome review and beautiful pictures. These have been on my "to try" list for quite sometime, these pictures might well have pushed me over the edge :ss

Those are a very nice short smoke! Had my first one this week and enjoyed it tremendously. Thanks for the review!

Can someone tell me if this is the MK Ultra or the regular MK. I have seen MK's with a black label. I noticed a gold label, is that the difference between the MK and the MK ultra?

Punched because of the size? 5 1/8 x 42?

Either way, I've had these on order from my B&M for about 3 weeks. Still waiting!

Order 'em from New Havana Cigars and they will probably be there tomorrow, depending on where you live. Dan has great customer service.

My B&M owner is my across the street neighbor so I'm trying to support him. Today is the stores 1st birthday. I'll just stick to a CG:4 until I get my MK's.
Thanks though.

Just got in a 5-pack of the Illusione -2- from a fellow forumite and I am looking forward to trying these babies out.

Thanks guys for all of your comments. I had another one of these today and had only a slight burn problem, it was a little squishy about 2/3rds of the way down.

I tried one of these today and had an interesting experience. After lighting, the cigar split from the foot about an inch long. The initial flavors were dry hay and not very pleasing. I showed the B&M owner and told him my impressions and he told me to stick with it. Just as the burn reached the end of the split, the flavors adjusted rather rapidly. In the space of two puffs, I went from, "This is starting to improve", to "Wow, this is really getting good". The flavor became more rich and multi-dimensional with a nice spiciness - I'm going to say cardamom (kind of a sweet pepper/mild cinnamon) - accentuating the nice earthy flavors, while the dry hay turned into a creamy leather component. And it just got better after that. This really has a different flavor profile than the other Illusiones I've had (no chocolate/coffee) and a stronger kick. I'd call this one tasty, while the others are yummy. I did get a few puffs near the middle that reminded me of cocoa/coffee, but it quickly disappeared. So this cigar went from being my least favorite (ever), to one of the best I've had.
