Is it just me?

I never take a puff and exhale the smoke inside the walk-ins. I do carry my lit cigar in there on occasion.

Though I do hate it when people take their drinks inside the walk-ins. Spilling a drink in there could cause some major hangups!

Especially if you get as waxed at herfs as I do! :r

My local B&M is a huge humidor. So everywhere you go you are inside it, it's the entire shop!! Corona cigar is where I am talking about. The other ones that are local are the same way. No part is sanctioned off so every part of the humidor is every part of the store.

Cigar King in IL allows it, and it doesn't bother me. Also allowed in the display area at Tobacco World in Florida, my all-time favorite B&M. Not an issue for me personally.

:tpd: I'm not bothered by it in the least. Davidoff allows it, Nat Shermans used to (haven't been to the new building yet), JR's. Even my fav stops in SC all allow it. As long as there is smoking allowed i'm happing.

Every shop I go to that allows smoking, encourages it. What's wrong with it?

I've been in a couple of smokeshops where the inside of the humidor smelled like stale cigar instead of that rich, heady aroma that you would expect in a walk-in humidor. It diminished the experienced for me.

I'm on the fence here... I guess it depends on the size of the humi and how many guys at one time are smoking in there.

I personally don't do it, but at the same time don't mind when I see a fellow customer walk in the humi with a lit stick. FWIW my B&M does have ashtrays in their walk-in...so WTF do I know :2

Odd - I'd never really tought about it. I've never been to a B&M where it was allowed. Most have had signs asking you not to.

I'm new at this but to me personally it seems like the smoking in the humidor might put the flavor of the cigars at risk.:cb

It would just feel wrong, unless the humi was the entire shop.

How would it be different if the humidor was the entire shop?
I don't see what's wrong with smoking tobacco in a humidor full of tobacco. I'm sure that when the tobacco is harvested, aged, rolled, etc. people are smoking cigars around it.:2

This is what I've been told. Typically, people who roll cigars smoke just about the entire time they're rolling. There's a little cigar boutique down on 6th street and I've noticed the torcedors pretty much always smoking.

Every so often someone will walk into the humidor at my favorite cigar shop while smoking.

Am I the only one that doesn't like the idea of this?

The place I go into does not allow smoking in the humi. there are signs posted.
Where are you in La, and what shop are you going to?

:tu:ss:tu

No it's not just you. But for me it just depends. I love to go into JR's and smell the fresh cigars and the smell of a wonderful aroma of a great cigar that someone may be smoking. It doesn't bother me. :ss

After watching a Pepin TACUBA video on Youtube, I noticed he and Jaime are pretty much smoking cigars during the growing, aging, bunching and rolling stages.
