This is really two different questions.

What is your spouse's reaction when you light up a stick? More often than not it's "Go for it!"

Is it ok to smoke stogies in your house? I would never do it. None of us wants the smell lingering in the house, in the furniture, etc. I'm perfectly content on the patio, or in the garage during cold weather.

Ditto! The wife keeps telling me she doesn't mind if I smoke in the house, I know that I don't want my books and other things to smell like stale cigar smoke after a while. So, I go outside or smoke in my excercise/smoke room that has a fan in the window to exhaust the smoke.

As long as I'm in the upstairs room with an open window, 2 fans, pink walls, and a floral wallpaper....put a towel under the door, and do a 30 minute 'self cleansing ritual' afterwards, no problem smoking in the house.

Fan in the window yeah. Anywhere else, no. But I actually prefer to smoke outdoors. Living in So Cal, the weather doesn't really get to where I can't enjoy a smoke outdoors; the weather's usually pretty nice round here.

I can smoke in my home...but then again, I live with a cat...and she does not mind. However, when my "girl" is around, I have to refrain from smoking certain cigars around her...she really hates the smell of Davidoff Grand Crus...oddly though, she will sit and smoke a Davidoff No.3....

I cannot smoke in my home. My wife and I have a two-year-old son so it's out of the question. Normally I go on the front porch.

Even if I could, I wouldn't. I'm more than happy smoking outside on the deck or in the garage. As much as I love cigars, I don't want to smell the stale smoke afterwards, and I certainly don't want my son breathing it in unless he's of age and makes that decision himself.

I personally don't smoke cigars in my apartment, they leave a bad stale cigar smell. I do however smoke my pipes in there occasionally. They don't leave a bad smell, and any smell that is left is gone within a few days.
