joecigar.com is offering 20 count 5 Vegas Series A Artisan for $39.99
I have never tried 5 Vegas before...and i am curious if this would be a good start... thanks

Are you looking for a price point on smokes to push you down the slope?

Matt's Cheap Smokes thread is around here somewhere. I love the Holt stuff. The Conneticut Crazies are great for the price....good mild/medium smoke.

He has a whole bunch of other recommendations too for under $1 a stick!

I think it is a good deal, but it is not one of my favorite smokes. If you like the A's go for it.

I wouldnt get the 20 count if you have never tried them, what do you like? What have you tried? I like the 5 Vegas Series A, I bought a fiver of said cigar for $9 on the devil site. I would say get some fivers, see what you like before you buy. I bought a 10 pack of cigars I dont like, I had never tried them and am hoping some age will help but I doubt it. The Series A are nice cigars.

definitly a good deal, they had a 1 day deal recently with a sampler of 20 5 each of 4 different sizes which I prefered more unfortunatly cigars arent really in the budget right now but series A are definitly a goto!

The series 'A' is a nice smoke and this is a good deal for 20 Artisan smokes from CI. I love a 52 rg cigar...:ss

they are def. worth the money without a doubt. however, you basically have a box count of smokes you have never had, but they are damn good. Check out the reviews in the NC reviews forum and you should get a pretty good idea of what they taste like.

I usually see boxes selling for $40-$50 on cbid, so they're definitely in the right price range. I'm definitely a fan of the A's too. I say do it. If you don't like 'em, dump them off in the sale forum, I'm sure someone will pick them up from you. If you DO like 'em, you got a good stick at a good price.

That or keep em to give out at herfs or in bombs. Its a good price on a good cigar, although it may not be the cigar for your tastes. Hmm, probably worth it regardless . . . .

They are well liked enough that if you didn't like them for some reason, I am sure you could find someone that would take them off your hand. They are one of my favorites.

They are fantastic smokes but need a 6-8 month nap IMO. And at 2 bucks a stick, if you don't like them send them to the troops. The 'A' is a very popular cigar.

I just smoked one of these cigars other day....graciously gifted to me by my buddy Pete (replicant_argent) :). Damn good smoke imo and for only a couple bucks a stick you can't go wrong. :2

I have to say that the 5 Vegas A type is an excellent smoke but would recommend a week in your humi before herfing.:ss

I have purchased them on more than one occasion and got the best quality from CI.

I also found that this smoke does not take well to being herfed hard or it gets raspy at the end. I personally found that the bigger the stick the better the taste in the A. I would recommend the Archtype (toro) or the Apostle (churchill) over the Artisan (robusto).

The price sounds good but check on c-bid as they always have the A's cheap.

Also try the Patel Fusion Double Maduro if you like the A. The Double has to be one of the best sticks I've had all year!!! (just my:2)
