I've just recently over the last several months delved more seriously into this great hobby of cigars. Only smoke 3-4 per week, but I'm just absolutely amazed at the vast variety of great smokes available.

My last 3 cigars for example have been a Punch Chateau L Maduro Churchill, a Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Toro Maduro and tonight a Oliva Serie G Maduro Churchill and it's like each cigar is tastier than the last!

I'm like a kid in a candy store who wants to try one of everything! I think a "cigar demon" has possesed me!:ss

I know what you mean. I have only made 2 box purchases so far. I buy mostly samplers on here and singles. I now have 4 humidors filled up and I need to buy a cooler now.

My mistake was I wanted to have a box of everything, good lord where I'm at one and a half years later. If I smoke one cigar a day and never buy another one I could probably smoke for like 2 1/2 years....sigh.
WOO HOO!!!!!:chk :ss:ss:ss:chk

:tpd: And I am probably stocked up for three or four years, and there are a few orders that have not arrived yet. I love this hobby.

It does get worse. Wait until you grab the last smoke from yer favorite box of no longer available smokes. Too much is never enough!

There are something like two thousand different handmade brands you could try (just NCs!) so at the rate you smoke it would take you ten years to try just one of each!

What makes it worse is when you read posts that say "Yeah, the toro was pretty good but the petite corona was better" because to try each vitola once would probably take you fifty years or more!

Then there are the new releases every year--you just can't keep up with everything. If you want to see the ridiculous details get a hold of a copy of the Cigarcyclopedia--it will list all of the brands with wide distribution along with all of the vitolas.

Some one send this man a "Cremosa" :cb:cb
Each one better than the last!:r:r:r

It's a slippery slope indeed. The only thing holding me back is that my humis are maxed out. Otherwise, I'd be in more trouble. :r

Insidious the way it starts, ain't it. :)

Indeed it is. Very similar to my long-time addiction of accumulating craft beers and ales. I must have 500-600 bottles on hand, some having been aging now for 7-8 years or more.

Becoming addicted to cigars is just what I need!!

I am just like you. I am pretty new to this wonderful hobby of the leaf. If I smoke 3-4 sticks week then I am lucky. I don't have the time is seems to relax with a good cigar lately. I love going into the local B & M (actually my closest one that I've found is out of state). I too am a fellow maduro fan. If you haven't tried the Perdomo Lot 23 maduro yet it is a fantastic cigar IMHO. If I had more money I'd be filling up my humi even faster but as the little bit extra comes in from time to time I save up to by a few sticks on occassion. It's a smooth and slippery ride down the slope. Enjoy!
