I've got this friend........

What would Skeeter do?
.....with a heart condition. He is a contractor that takes on small re-modeling jobs, etc. He was at my home discussing a coupla jobs we are going to have done soon.

Anyway, we stepped out to the driveway to finish our discussion & he lit up a cigarette.

I inquired as to what he thought he was doing smoking a cigarette.

To make a long story short, I hooked him up with a cutter, an otterbox & 5 cigars to nudge him along the way (he smokes a cigar once in a while & I'd given him a stick or 2 in the past).

Now 4 of the smokes were mild Macanudo-like cigars, but I slipped a CAO Italia Novella in there.

I talked to him again a coupla days ago & he was effusive about how mild & tasty the Italia was. He even said that it was so smooth, you could have inhaled it (he wasn't inhaling......just a descriptor).

The interesting part here is that his palate seems to be a few degrees more developed than I expected.

I am considering hooking him up with some Rocky Patel, JdN Antano, Camacho, Oliva, etc.

I'll keep ya'll updated with his impressions......:)
 
I am a rep that sell building material products in Michigan. It's amazing how many contractors enjoy a good cigar.

How is business in you contractors area?

Yes, it is fun introducing someone to the enjoyment of a fince cigar.
 
Get him off of those nasty cigs. A cigar a day is probably a lot better than a pack of cigs a day.....and so much tastier.:dr
 
He is better off with the cigars.

Atleast in-hailing will now be at a minimum.

Good going, Kansas!! That's sorta how I got into cigars. Always was curious, but never walked into the jungle until my Brother in law took me to the B&M he goes to...The rest is history. It's always nice to give someone a little shove towards the slope!

I commented to my doctor, recently, that my wife doesn't know how much I spend on cigars.....& I'd rather keep it that way.

He said, "You haven't asked me!"

I said, "I'm not asking you anything dude. I like my cigars!"

He roared with laughter & admitted that they aren't as bad as cigarettes. He was also extremely pleased to hear that my abstinence of alcohol has continued, which, according to him, is a much greater health risk (alcoholism) than smoking a coupla cigars a day.

Perhaps I'll show him Michelle's box.........then again perhaps I'll just tell him about it, since I virtually know it inside & out. :)

Maybe the cigarette smoking made him a bit more tolerant to the nicotine in the cigars than I non-smoker?

Sounds like you have done a great deed for a friend...let us know how he handles than JdN! :D
