JRCigars - World Premiere?

I just got an e-mail from JR Cigars that just says "world premiere...tune in 6/2."
Anyone know what this is about?
 
Got that email plus one last week saying something's up at JR. I'm guessing they're starting a daily deal like Famous and CI...

I'm guessing they are raising their shipping costs from $2.50 to $10.00 each for the 1st 5 items you order. JR's shipping costs sucks!!

They're probably pullling the sheet off the new Palios.
But not really on June 2nd. This is just the first warning. :)
 
It just seems like it must be something big, what with the mysterious nature of it all.
Of course, what could be "big" for a Cigar website? Are they going to be the exclusive dealer for Gurkha? Well, that's not exactly a "World Premiere" is it?
They made a deal with Obama to lift the emargo and JR will be the sole importer of Cubans?
Just kidding of course...but I'm trying to think big.

I'm mystified....but like boonedoggle said...it must be working because my curiosity is definitely piqued.
 
I googled JR world premier and came up with some cigar web blog coming to JR's website on get this......June 2nd.This can't be the big news can it?

They had a daily deal a little while ago, the "Daily Double", and then gave it up rather quickly.
That horse lost the race to Joe--big time.

JRs has really gone downhill lately imho. They have had a few good weekly specials in the past year (the Camacho Negro was the best) but they used to have better deals and more of them before Altadis ate them.

Agreed. I find myself ordering more and more from CI or Famous and have nearly abandoned JR.
The only thing I've ordered from JR lately are their alternates.
 
Whaterver it is, it's working for them. Everyone is talking about it.
That said, it better be great or it wont look good for them.
 
Every time I go into a JRCigars I am disappointed. I think I've found something extraordinarily only to find out that I paid way too much for the cigar. If it turns out to be a great deal I'll be surprised. :2

Maybe, maybe not. Yes if you buy 3 fivers. Not if you buy a box of something and only have to fork over $2.50 for shipping. All relative. I can't see that it's any worse than places that routinely charge $7.95 or $8.95 flat rate shipping.

They had some really good specials in their holiday catalog, especially on Excaliburs, but the last catalog didn't have anything that appealed to me. However, I've seen some decent deals on JR Auctions. I got a box of Flor de A.Allones Bellicoses for $69 + $2.50 shipping. (They usually sell at the JR price of $95)
 
They're restarting the JRBB, and have hired back Steve Saka to piss off all the posters and institute mass bannings.

In all seriousness, I'm guessing Lew bought out some well known brand, is going to blow out the existing inventory at $39/box, and in a year or two will reintroduce the brand with the typical Altadis blend.

I'll say it's 5 Vegas.
