Just had my first Nub...

It was a Nub Camaroon 464 torpedo. I was pretty excited about smoking it because of all the hype I've heard about them, but when I smoked it, there really wasn't anything I found to be exciting about it. It was by no means a bad cigar, but there was just no wow factor like I was hoping. I still have a Habano and Connetticut to try, so maybe they will be better. This wasn't really a review, but I am mainly wondering what all of you think about Nub.

Have you ever smoked an Oliva G? I find the Nub Cameroon to be quite similar to it and I prefer the more traditional sizes.

I feel pretty much the same way. They're not horrible, but they don't live up to the hype. There's better cigars for the same price or less

Yep after all the hype they fell short for me too. I would probably smoke more of the Cameroon, but this ring gauge doesn't work for me.

Thank's for your opinion. Saves me from running out and trying them. I was leery of all the hype and a little reluctatnt to try them. I hate it when I hear a bunch of hype about a cigar and when I finally try it, it turns out to be just O.K. Sometimes I feel like I wasted the time when I could'a smoked one I know I'd have liked. So many cigars so little time!

Blech.

You asked for it, you got it. ;)

i didn't buy into the hype when they first came out, but i had a Connecticut the other day and a Cameroon 2 days ago and i really enjoyed them. i will definitely try the Habano and keep smoking Nubs.

I had a NUB habano this past weekend. It cost like $5.50 at my B.M since I don't want to order a whole fiver on the internet plus shipping cost. It is O.K, nothing to write home to Mom about... And the damn wrapper split on me about half way through the cigar smoking session. Being a do-or-die person, I stuck till the end with the nub given that it is hard to smoke a half-a-nub with split wrapper.

I WANT MY FIVE DOLLARS BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK :bl

The Habano to me is the superior one of the bunch...the rest I've found to be here and there.

I think they are okay...Very consistent in flavor, it's just too bad that flavor is a little one-dimensional rather simple for my tastes...

Don't get me wrong, it should be perfect for me. I like thicker cigars, and the price isn't bad. It's just not near complex and flavorful for me, even in my noobish smoking habits...

Gispert is better than the Connecticut...
Oliva G is a better Cameroon....
R&J 1875 Habanas is a better habanos rap (and is even similar in size)

I really like the Nubs. I've had both the Connecticut and the Cameroon, and enjoyed both. To me it'e a good smoke @ a fair price, and I'll definitely smoke more in the future.
