Labor Day Accident!

Best Bring Kryptonite!
First off, I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend! For the most part, the weather was mild and nice...rainy mostly - but that just gave me an excuse to sit on the patio and smoke plenty of gars!! Hehehe..

Anyways, this morning, I got a text from a good friend of mine who had fell at his house and broke his back!!!!
As if that wasn't f@#ked up enough, he lives all alone with his two dogs. So there was no one to see or hear him fall and/or call out.

He was able to crawl to his desk (looking for his phone) by pushing himself with his toes. 1.5 hours later he finally made it to his desk....a mere three feet away. He reached up looking for his phone. No dice. So he managed to pull himself up to the desk and drag his keyboard down and type in a forum that we both frequent that: he had fell and broke his back, listed his address and put 911 on the end. And then he passed out.

Luckily, it didn't take long for our friends to realize what he was saying and several people called 911 for that area. Shortly after the fire department arrived.

He had been lying there 3 hours before they got him out. He broke his 13th vertebrae. Tonight, me and my wife are driving to his house and we're going to collect his things and move him into my "man-room" - obviously, we'll be converting the room to accommodate my buddy.

All that we ask is for your prayers - and since I've been here at Club Stogie, you've been an amazing group of people, so I know that you guys will pull for him in your thoughts and prayers.
Thanks gang!

Said a prayer for your buddy.

That is a great thing you are doing for him. It is good to have friends to go the extra mile when needed. You're a good man.
