Neener, Neener, Neener...
OK, the contracts have been signed and everyone can start booking rooms if they so desire. The rooms are at the Marriott Renaissance at 701 E. Adams in Springfield. This is one block from the herf location. The room rate is $85 per night +tax. I have the following available:
10/7: three rooms
10/8: 15 rooms
10/9: 15 rooms

You will book these rooms yourself by calling Renaissance hotels reservations at 1-888-236-2493. You can select your room type at the time of reservation, i.e. smoking, non-smoking, king, double, etc. When and if you book, please send me a message to let me know. The rooms must be reserved by September 15, 2004!!! This is very important as we will be responsible for any rooms not booked. When reserving please ask for the block of rooms reserved for USL Manufacturing Corporation.

hey matt, when/if you get time, could you PM me with some ideas of how i could set up a herf here in KC. what all goes into the planning, reserving a smoking establishment, things to do, etc.

oh, and if we pull it off next year, then COPPERTOP gets credit for calling it the LAND OF OZ HERF.

some guys on CW are organizing a get together Aug 7th at a bar in westport in KC. only a room for 20 guys, and i don't think but maybe 5-7 have signed up.

Topped, as I've heard a couple of people "Pricelined" instead of booking these rooms. no problem as we all know money is tight everywhere, but we will have to pay for all unbooked rooms out of the money we receive from donations, which we really don't want to do. Please advise me when and if you book. Thanks! Matt
