Las Vegas BOTL's. Advice?

I am on the strip and looking for good places to eat, gamble, and see some things which typically require paying a cover. If anyone has any pointers, shoot me a pm.

Cheers!

Check out the water show at the Belgio! It's free and really cool, more so at night but still cool during the day.

The Siren (pirates) show at Treasure Island better at night also

The Marti Gra at the Rio... Hot chicks free beads.

The circus acts at Circus Circus

The fall of Atlantis at Cesar’s palace, and you can check out Casa Fuente while you're there.

All of those shows are free and run on a regular schedule. I'm not much into gambling so I'm not much help there. Go to Hooters and sign up for a players card. You get 100 bucks in free slot play and you get free tickets to one of their shows. I saw Bobby Slaton the comedian there. Sign up for player cards at all of the casinos, there is all kinds of free stuff.

My favorite place to eat was The Orleans, it's a little off the strip but an awesome buffet!

And it only cost 10 bucks to go up into the Eifel Tower, which is also better at night.

Hope this helps, have fun and don't forget those dudes standing on the corner aren't handing out pokemon cards so don't be fooled.

For the type of place you're alluding to in the original post I would suggest either the Spearmint Rhino or the Penthouse Key Club as both have great food and a great.... atmoshphere ;)

Raider, I'm gonna jack your thread a bit, sorry bro -

I'll be in vegas in a couple weeks for a conference.

What is the policy for cigar smoking in the casinos/bars/etc?

you can smoke in all most anywhere in the bars and casinos! the anti smokers havent succeeded in vegas yet!

Hey Raider, how long are you going to be in town...If you have a chance and are willing, I know at least two of us here may be willing to herf up a little...in fact, thats what we are doing now

Two more suggestions from my "must do when in Las Vegas" list (it's in my head if you haven't seen a copy anywhere :D ).

1. Go to Art of Shaving on the bridge between the Luxor and Mandalay and get yourself a "royal shave." Call at least a week in advance to make an appointment as they book up.

2. Go to Canyon Ranch Spa in the Venetian hotel and get yourself a massage. After your massage enjoy the spa's amenities like the steam room, jacuzzi, fresh fruit, fresh squeezed juices, bottled water, etc. Then go out to the Venetian pool for the rest of the afternoon. You'll never feel so relaxed again in your entire life. Unless of course you come back and do it again! :tu

You can still smoke cigars in most Casinos, however, where you can smoke them has been limited to the open spaces in the gambling Areas and while playing Slot Machines, Video Poker, etc. You cannot smoke anything in any dinning areas, including the Food Court Areas. You cannot smoke cigars or pipes, even while gambling, at any of the table games, including Blackjack, Craps & Roulette, etc. You can smoke cigars in most Lounge Areas, but that is changing, almost daily. Many lounge and bar areas are no longer allowing Cigar or Pipe Smoking. Also, almost all Night Club Areas, enclosed rooms, no longer allow Cigar or Pipe Smoking! It's very sad, but those are the facts!!!

You can still smoke at most table games on the strip. When I worked in the Venetian, the best customers for the cigar girls were the table game pits...the smoking policy at table games differs from house to house...just ask the dealer or pit manager what the house policy is when it pertains to smoking either pipe or a cigar at the table...also, it is usually a nice thing to ask your fellow gamers if they would be offended by the smoke...I have never had a problem with any person, most are just gracious that you ask...

That can get a tad expensive at Art of Shaving ans Canyon Ranch....but worth every penny...

It'll cost you at least a couple hundred for both (every year they seem to raise the price ) but it's money well spent. :tu

If I go to Vegas, that is a must on my list.
It's a great place. I always like to check out Crazy Horse II. It's not as well regarded as some of the newer places, but I love it there.

The Harley Davidson cafe was a good place to eat.

Lets set up some herfs for you guys coming into town.

Make sure you bring your own cigars to the Rhino...they do have a humidor on premise that is very well maintained and stocked (They have a contract with the Davidoff stores) but the prices will make you bleed.... Last I heard, the AF Cuban Corona, which they sell tons of, was going for the low price of $125.00...You are reading that right, no typo...

We ended up going way off the strip to find a club, and the lack of food available coupled with the amount of drinks I purchased gave my insides quite the run for it the next day.
