Long time, no see and I have a question.

Mr. White

formerly Jokieman
Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since I've frequented club stogie, I'm sorry to say. And I'm revisiting now because I'm faced with a dilemma.

I disappeared a while back due to my rapidly declining health and also because of problems I have been having with my wife. I'm now facing a quad-spinal-fusion surgery sometime in October, and my wife and I are most definitely headed for a divorce.

My problem is that I have a humidor full of cigars that I am not going to be able to maintain any longer. The surgery will see me bedridden for at least 8 weeks, and with the divorce, money is rapidly becoming an issue as well. My humidor is stocked with Opus X's, Hemingways, Montecristo Whites, some Pepin's, Padrons, Cusano 18's, etc.

My issue (ha, issues and problems, seems to be all I've got going right now) is that I have no idea what a good selling price for these cigars are nowadays, and I was wondering, when I am able to get these items inventoried if some kind soul would help me set prices for these cigars at the going rate so I can get them sold off and pay some bills (namely my deductible for my health ins. so I can have my surgery). Honestly, I would like to sell them all off to a single buyer, but I know that's not going to happen. (It's very difficult for me to travel anywhere these days).

Is there anyone who has been here for a while who would be willing to help me when the time comes? This is just to help me figure out what the going rate would be for the cigars, I'm not asking for anything else. Any assistance you guys could give for an ailing gorilla in this matter would be appreciated. You can PM me and I'll check back in a couple days when I have the energy to hobble/wheel my crippled ass back out to the computer again.

Thanks,

Doug.

I am sure someone will be able to post where to find a list to help you with pricing. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for everything you are going through right now.

I am sorry to read this is all snowballing on you at once. That must be a difficult situation.

At least I can say for myself the grass isn't greener for once... Joking aside, your first step should be to compile a spreadsheet of exactly what you have.

You can sell the cigar in bunches, individually or in one big sale. It's hard to go beyond that generalization until you have a complete inventory.

I hope things work out well for you on all fronts! Best of luck.

I think if you marked what you have at 60% of the lowest price the Web, you can sell the whole collection in shot.
