Los Blancos cigars

What's everyones opinion of Los Blancos cigars? I had never heard of them until my local B&M started carrying them. I have tried all of the different styles and they are very good cigars in my opinion! The sumatra and conn. are my two favs. Anybody else know much about these?
 
I tried on the other day and did not care for it at all. Seemed very bland to me. I don't even remember the band color, I think it was yellow.
 
If it was yellow then that was the Maduro. I didn't care for it either. However, the green band Criollo and the blue band Connecticut where very enjoyable to me. The guy at the B&M said that they are somehow affiliated with Pepin, but after reading the website I see no indication of that. Maybe the sales rep from Pepin and Los Blancos are the same?
 
The Blancos have been growing tobacco for other cigars makers for years and have just started their own line in the last few years. So, their tobacco could be used by a number of makers without ever being mentioned.

I've smoked them and liked the Sumatra and Criollo. Very good cigars.

In our litle section onf the jungle both lines are represented by TriStar. There is no relationship between the two manufacturers other than that though.

I like the Criollo line, but the others are a little to mild for me. The good news for the full body smokers out there though is David (the owner of Los Blancos) is gearing up an addition to the line and he says it should satisfy most of us powerhouse abusers. lol

You'll have to keep us gorillas posted when this new powerhouse line-up is revealed by David...:tu

I talked with David yesterday for a couple of hours at my local B&M. It looks like it will still be a while before the new line-up is released. The blend is ready, but he is still debating whether he wants to do it as an extension of the Los Blancos line or make it a new release.
