In a corner
hey guys I am a newbie here, but I built a humi for a friend that is in his basement (I will post a pick of the humi) the humidity is fine but the temps range between 61 - 64 degrees never over 64. Anyone see any problems with the low temps ???

thanks

no, those temps are awesome. keep 'em there.

i've since moved my humi's down to my basement as well.

i agree with IHT. i have my "long term storage" in a cooler in the basement now.
the intent of the "long term" cooler was not to be opened, but that isn't working out so well ;)

Again, I completely agree. I've always had great luck with temps a little lower than the prescribed 70 when storing longterm.

yeah those temps are perfect. the aging process is slowed if it gets below 65 but id take slower aging with a beetlefree guarantee anyday.

I've read colder temps do slow thw aging but sometimes slowing the aging process gives a better result in the end... This was for long term aging 5+ years, This is the impression I got after reading the the aging section in the MRN.

I allways like to see the temp a little under 70, just a little peace of mind when it comes to the dreaded Beatles.
