My Ocean Cruise Survival Gear

Sounds like a great trip, Bro! I just got back from a cruise through the Southern Caribbean and found some great cigars! Most notable was a Puros Indios Rothchild that I Picked up at the cigar bar! One of my best smokes, ever! The only problem with the cruise was that the bar was the only place you could smoke! It was funny to watch some of the women all decked out in their formal wear rushing through the bar to avoid the wonderful aroma of the multiple cigars I was enjoying!

John, where are the pictures of all those bikini girls!?

Right all those girls..wife would love that.

Not many cigar smokers on the ship and the ones that are here are busy smoking their Cohiba's they picked up in the Jamaica t-shirt shops.

One man herf tonight....Oliva night with a Special S Diadema & a MBI Robusto + a little rum.:tu

Life is good as we hit the Panama Canal in about 6 hours.

It seems to be only be getting better. A couple of Monte's and my 1st Cohiba Maduro 5.........a wonderful cigar but at a dear price. So many cigars, so many sights to see and only 7 more days to go. :ss

Thats all??? :r Have a great time John.:tu:tu

:tpd::r

Enjoy!

BTW, you don't need the Tranzpack for a ship. Lighters are allowed on board but I guess I forget that I never fly to get to the cruise ship living in South Florida. I just drive:D

Cruises are fun. Have a great time!

I'll get a few pictures up when I return. Can't get the suckers up online.

Last couple of days to go....arrive in port on Saturday. Have a couple of Monte's to finish + a Padron 1926 #9 that I've been saving and perhaps a Davidoff 100th Anni I brought along.

Sad time in the old cigar lounge last night after I offered one of the regulars a Padron 1926 #35 and he sat there puffing on it like it was just another fake $2 Cohiba. Said it was a little strong for him.

some people have no class John... :(

Before I learned so much here I used to drink cigars down like there was no tomorrow. I try to share some of this with th other BOTLs I run into in a very non-threatening way, most guys take it to heart and give it a try, those that dont? Oh well, no harm done.

Enjoy the trip and this is great, I think we feel like we are there with you.

I think a buddy of mine is working on there in Excursions, Dave. If you see him tell him hello and thanks again for sharing!
:tu

So I made it home today. Finished off my last night onboard with a Davidoff 100th Anniv. Diademas Finas, what a great cigar!!

Lot's of fun. Left with memories of a number of folks sitting in the lounge smoking their Habanos, Cohiba's & Monte's purchased for as little a $1 a pop and swearing they were the real deal. :tu Like one smoker kept saying, "they were sealed and had Cuban bands on them". I asked him how he reckoned cigars that would sell for $200-$400 a box would be hawked near the ship for as little as a buck a stick. No rational response was returned. Anyhow they seemed to enjoy them so what the heck.

Returned with 5 of the cigars that I took along with me. A Litto G, Padron 1926 #9, El Rico, Oliva V Fig. and one other that slips my mind. Somewhere along the way I seemed to have picked up those "Dutch Masters"...damn things were so tasty I ended up skipping even the Padron.

Nice trip, lot's of friendly people both on and off the ship and a hell of a lot of nice cigars.

John, I am glad you are having fun. Sounds like Pedro when Joe gave him that nice Boli that he just abused at Smokey Joe's. Cannot go wrong with the Davidoffs eh?
