My trip to Miami's "Little Havana"

I've taken plenty of time to get this pictures downloaded from my trip to South beach and the subsequent cruise. We didn't have a whole lot of time but I managed to squeeze in lunch at Versailles to eat some authentic Cuban fair and then dash off to Pepin's place "El Rey De Los Habano" ...

Me and my girl with Janny Garcia at Pepin's facotry. As you can see I was in the middle of my purchases (Picked up a box of Cabaiguan Corona Extra's and Some Single Beli's, Corona Extras, Tatuaje Cojonu 2006's for the cruise :> )

Stock was not as great as I thought it would be but the Cabaiguan's were the ones I was looking for. They were a steal at $120, wish I had picked up 2!

Off across the street to "El Titan De Bronze" where I met the owner Wiley and his father. Great guys to talk to....

Picked up some of the Habanos Seed Redemption line of cigars. They are nicotine bombs but very tastey. Some of the girls picked some cigars up here also (Gold line which are also nice smokes). Wiley was great and said if any of the Club Stogie guys would like to due a tasting or even get some group buy specials then he would be more than happy to do so.

This was a great couple days to spend in Miami and unwind before the cruise. Needless to say I smoked all of the stock that I brought with me along with most of the singles I bought in Little Havana (not to mention the 3 pack of Romeo and Juliet Short Churchill tubos in Cozumel). These were some great times and will be looking forward to doing it again some time in the future.

sounds like a fun trip, I've been wanting to do the same thing one of these days.

thanks for posting the pictures, I have an El Titan De Bronze hiding somewhere in my cooler

glad it was a fun trip!

Great pics, just walking around there down there with a smoke in hand, and cafe cubano only 5 steps away really is something. I loved it and cannot wait to go back.

Great shots.
You didn't visit Ernesto Carillo next door to Pepin?

Willy is a great guy.
Just remembered thanks to this picture of yours that I have to respond to an email from him.

Nice!

I am heading down to Miami for my 21st at the end of November, visiting pepin's factory was one of the things on my to do list. :D

Bet you had a WONDERFUL time!
:tu

I'd love to get the chance to go visit Miami. I've not been back since living in Pompano Beach and Coral Springs for a while in 72-73.

Great shots.

I didn't have time to stop at Ernesto's place, I am not a huge fan of his cigars (although I have not tried his more premium lines).

Roughrider:

The prices on the Tatuaje stuff was in-line to most online retailers (i.e. Brown label reserve Robusto was $11 a piece, the Cojuno 2006 Torpedo was $13). On the other hand, the Cabaiguan's were a steal $120 for the Corona extra. Cheapest I have seen online was at CI's on sale for about $170 which are always sold out.

A friend and I have been talking about going there. I want to do it asap but I don't have room in my coolerador for any more boxes. Such a good problem to have
