Any thoughts as to advantages, disadvantages, differences in taste, flavor, individual gorillas' preferences, etc., between Natural vs. Maduro wrappers? Thanks!

Here is a few threads about favorite wrappers. I am partial to corojo wrappers.

maduro or bust! :tu
I smoke mostly sungrowns & corojo any more, but there are a lot of really nice maduros out there.
Be careful of the cheapies though, because there are a lot of fake dyed & painted maduros out there too. There are also quite a few "cooked" maduro wrappers on the market.

:tpd:I must admit that I'm a maduro whore, however....I do like a good cameroon wrapper at times as well.

I find that quality maduros are slightly sweeter than their natural counterparts. I've gravitated toward SG and corojos wrappers lately because I prefer the spicy kick they provide. Once in a while, I'll pull out an AF 858 maddie or Punch Roth in X. My overall favorite maddie is still the PAM (I like the 1926 a little better). Pricy but worth the experience on special occasions IMHO.
I agree with this but to me many maduros also have less character compared to the natural varieties. In my experience many maduro cigars start out great but the became almost boring in the last third. Naturals on the other hand, especially corojos, only get better and better the closer you get to the nub!...I find that quality maduros are slightly sweeter than their natural counterparts.
