Bro, you are making friends right and left here. :dr If he wanted to be offensive he could have. He chose to be a bit sarcastic and subtly humerous. As a Young Chimp we will assume that you are not savvy to the ways of the jungle. We have all made suggestions for possible solutions to your problem, yet you have shot down every one.
The perfect solution may or may not exist, again good luck in your search.

So your saying that telling me to put a "midget" in my cooler isn't offensive? To me that is VERY offensive. Would you tell a black man to put a "N*****" in his cooler? Just lock this thread and call the matter closed.

Hey now, bleeped out or not. Their is no place in CS for racial slurs. Granted "midget" was not the best word for Smoked to use, he did not go throwing around the N word. He was just playing around. I'd tread lightly. I'd hate to see you wear out your welcome, especially over a silly little joke. Just my :2.

Reading that I can only assume "midget" is a derogatory term used to refer to a little person, a person of short stature.

Apparently it is acceptable to use a derogatory term for a person of short stature but highly offensive to use a bleeped out racial slur to make a point.

Give me a friggin break. The guy was just making a lighthearted suggestion. I would suggest you take the chip off your shoulder.

Assuming someone is meaning something derogatory without ever meeting/talking with him makes no sense and for sure is not what CS is all about. Taking it out in post form is even worse etiquette. A simple pm would have sufficed.
 
This has gotten completely off-track. And in a very disheartening way.

Why the original smart-ass post was made, I don't understand. Why the over-board response was made, I understand even less.

To the original poster: perhaps you might want to think about your situation some more and then post a question in the Questions - Accessories sub-forum. If any of the drivel from this thread spills over into that thread, the poster will be dealt with--there's a warning to anyone involved.
 
Normally we don't close threads just because someone requests it. It's really not any one persons decision as to when a conversation/thread is over. If you think it is over, leave it...simple as that.

As for the midget joke, come on man, get a sense of humor. The joke was obviously made in regards to the size of a wine cooler. Perhaps he should have used the term "garden gnome"...then again maybe not, we would hate to offend any ficticious characters as well.

Your seem to have an attitude of entitlement. At least that's what I garner from your lack of appreciation for folks suggestions, and your choice to be offended...and yes, it was your choice.

Take some time to think about what happened in this thread, and realize that while we try to be civil here, it ultimately is a place dominated by cigar smokers with a sense of humor.
