Hi Folks, Just bought a new cabinet humidor from Cheaphumidors (1200 count),and also a Moist-N-Aire humidifier from Rob at Taboo....Humidor had no instructions with it other packing list.....so like other cedar humi's I wiped down all the spanish cedar with distilled water.....I then filled the humidifier with distilled water to an inch below the holes....I set the thermostat to 60 RH and the next AM I checked the hygrometer which read 82 RH !!!! I had run it all night, there was some water on the shelf under the humi, but it later evaporated....seems like too full and when humi is running looks like water is boiling in it so it probably splashed out a bit....So what did I do wrong and how do I fix it.... I took the humidifier out and after 8 hrs the RH came down to 78....Of course I have not put any cigars in yet till I find problem....Any help apprreciated, Thanks....

I would start @ 40 RH and work my way up / 1200 count humi might not need to be set @ 60 due to the size of the Humi.

I keep my humi @ 60 most of the time and she still hits 65ish :tu Oh and my Cab is a 3000+ :)

also depends on how many cigars you have stuffed inside ;)

You can also try tossing in Beads to regulate the RH, I still keep 2lbs in the cab
