One of my neighbors is usually seen smoking a backwoods, but today was smoking nothing. I gave him a cigar even though we don't get along that well.

Then tonight a neighbor I haven't talked to in the two years I have lived here was at a mutual party and I found out He is a scotch drinker and a cigar smoker and also likes weapons. Just like me he loves the same things I love. I am excited that I gave him a cigar and he is into the same things I am. It is cool to find a new com-rad.

sounds good man. You'll never know someone unless you jump out and talk to them. Not literally Jump out... thats a little creepy. but you get the idea.

:r True that - about the "jump out" thing.

You never know... passing that premium smoke to the neighbor you don't get along with so well could change things for the better. :ss

Very nice gesture!!!:tu

It still amazes me...
The "Magical Power" a single cigar can hold...:)

Thanks for sharing!

I like to think of cigars as magic waunds. And this is a great example of the magic the hold. Congrats on the friend

Well I too wish I had nice neighbors. It has been cold so I have not been running my Nitro Cars at home and thought it would be nice to bring out my Nitro 4-Tec 3.3 Get my car warmed up I take out a BL Partagas light it up while making some high speed passes on the road. I pull back in the parking lot across from my home and run through some cones I have set up. When I see a man standing on the wall that is next to this lot. I bring the car in to me and let it idle next to me, when I hear wow looks like fun. I said thanks and next thing I know, this man runs across the parking lot about 60 feet to 75 feet to where I am and knocks my cigar out of my mouth picks up my car by the wing and I am all but scared or intimidated by this. What is this wackos problem??? I ask the man to please set me car down and he swings the car around as to toss it on the roof, I tell him that he must not understand how much the car is that is in his hands and he really should drop it. About this time his wife comes out of the house yelling at him to put my car down and he starts say that he is tired of the noise and ya da ya da. Now his wife comes and takes the car from him and now he starts acting all tough like he is going to hit me and at this point I tell him it might not be wise as I will be more then willing to defend myself if I am struck. Now his wife is pulling on him back to his house. He breaks free one more time and lunges at me and tried to hit me again. At this time I grab my car go to my side of the street cleared out extra fuel ran out the rest in the carb and fuel line.

Your a lucky man,,my neighbors all hate me..

Jerry in Minnesota.

Just a small subset of the larger universe of Jerry haters. :D

My neighbors think I am a member of the Mafia. Home alot during the day, smoke cigars, always overtipping the neighbor kids who help us out.... hey maybe I am mafia!

The Godfather of Cigars :tu

It is always great to meet new folks to smoke/drink with. I have lived at my home for almost 3 years but not until about 6 months ago did I learn my next store neighbor is an avid cigar smokers. He travels 4 days a week so i never really saw him, but recently he built a little patio are on my side of his house and we have started sharing sticks recently.

I have a few neighbors here in my building who do nothing but complain to management about the smell of smoke in the area between our apartments. My management group tells them this..."do you rent the area inside his apartment or on his porch?" To which they answer no..."Do you have the right to tell him he can't do what he wants in his own home?" To which they answer no..."Do you get where I am going with my conversation?" That shuts them up. The leasing agreement that everyone here has signed states that whatever that happens in the unit, as long as it is not against the law, is allowed by the terms of the lease. Plus, the "head" of sales for my apartment/condo group is an avid cigar smoker as well.

My neighbors are pretty chill. Our side of the apartment complex is pretty friendly, and there's a group of us who hang out during the evenings and weekends. Most of them smoke, and one of the guys, Christian, used to smoke cigars a lot until recently. I let him have a taste of the cigars I'm smoking when he's around and I'm thinking of giving him a couple when I find one he likes.

That's one of the things I love about cigars-it creates a common discussion point regardless of what youa re smoking or what your tastes are. Like in this situation, it helps that he is apparently like minded. Hey you never know, he may ahve been having a really crappy day when you gave him that stick. Well done.
