Nestor Miranda Special

I was just gifted a nestor miranda Special ... never heard of this before and limited info when i searched.. anyone have any knowledge or experience on it?

Not heard of, but Nestor does not have a lot of fans that I am aware of. Never tried anything from Nestor Plasencia, so I can't speak from experience.

i have a few plasencia's in the humi.. from what i understand theyre 2 difft. nestor's.

Hey, i could be wrong.. This is the only description i could find.

Nestor Miranda Special cigars are named for their creator, also the mind behind the Don Lino line of cigars. The cigars are carefully made using Nicaraguan Maduro wrappers surrounding a medium to full-bodied blend of Nicaraguan and Costa Rican longfillers, and a Nicaraguan binder. The cigar is oily to the touch with some moderate veins, and once lit, produces consistent flavors of sweet charred wood Maduro flavor on a medium finish, with a dab of caramel neatly tucked in the heady aroma.

Nestor Miranda makes Don Lino cigars (as opposed to Nestor Plasencia, who makes a ton of cigars that are sold to folks who market and sell them under their own labels.)

I might have gotten a little carried away with the review here, but I liked the Special Selection.

Nestor makes some great cheap maduros....

i too have a nestor miranda, lancero. found it in a shop in virginia beach, had never seen it before, and it looked good so i picked it up. however, i have yet to try it, so i cant really help ya there. i will give them credit for making a beautiful cigar, with a nice twist on the end of the cap.

Geeeez...... you guys are killing me, or should I say you're killing my wallet. Almost every day I come on CS (which IS every day) I see something else that sounds like I need to pick up and try. the Nestor Maduro has nothing to do with the Nestor Miranda special selection.
Nestor Miranda is the owner of Miami Cigars, his brands include the following:
La Aurora Cien Anos, Aurora 1495, Leon Jimenes, Leon Jimenes 300,
Don Lino, Don Lino Africa, Special Selection, Don Lino 1989 and Tatiana
to name a few.

Not only does he make a great smoke (actually I think they are made in the La Aurora factory by Aurora FOR him), but he is a hell of a nice guy. The lancero is great, and the robusto and toro are also very very good.

His son is fighting cancer, so say a prayer for his family, too.
