Nestor Reserve Maduro - Doesn't Suck

CI sells this as does their site cigarbid. Their description talks about the chocolate wrapper, rich creamy, yada, yada. Read it your own bad self. Anyway, I bit and picked up 25 torpedos from CBid about 5 weeks back.

I smoked a couple the first week and they ranked in the "didn't suck" category, just barely. A lot of smoke (I like that) and an easy draw. (I like that too). But otherwise nothing to make me want to "buy more" or even say something good or bad about them.

I had another this evening with coffee (Killer Beans, African beans - pressed, not dripped, very good!) The Nestor was much better after a month sitting. It moved closer to "buy more".

A slight chocolate flavor (maybe the coffee?) A little bit creamy. I've got about 17 more to try (and to share). So they have moved to my recommend to others list. I'll wait till cooler weather hits before I try again. Perhaps they will move to the "buy more now" ranking

one of my favorite just a good smoke cigar. I know what I am getting when I light it up and they do get better after 6-8 months of rest..Thanks for the easy to read review!!!!

Thanks for the review. I got a new catalog from CI today and noticed those. I was wondering what they were like. Tempting for the price.

The Nestor Reserve Maduros are, for lack of a better description, "a maduro-lover's daily."

I have a few dozen aging in the coolers at all times, and they're ALWAYS a welcomed pleasure! Yes, they require a few burn corrections along the way.. But that's a small price to pay for a very rich and flavorful maduro!!

NOTHING TO SEE HERE, MOVE ALONG!

(Shhhh... don't tell too many people... just let them rest for a bit and you will be rewarded) :ss

I just smoked one of these as part of a blind tasting from TedRodgersCPA. I was quite impressed -- yes, touchups were necessary, but the flavor was excellent. I'll need to look into picking some up and tossing them in the coolidor to sleep for a couple of months.

The first ones I had, I had bought some from a fellow Gorilla that were about a year old. I really liked them alot. They were very tasty. I could see how they could end up as a daily cigar. I had another last week from a buddy cuz he ordered some after the one I gave him and relized I could taste the difference in the two. Time does wonders for these IMHO.

Glad you enjoyed them! Those were from my friend who lost his job and had to clear his stock... I have 110 or so of my own resting the humi! :ss
